CB Phillip Gaines had a workout with Dolphins

Every team drafts a lot of corners because they are hard to find and you need a lot of them. Miami is no different than any other team in the league. Take a look at New England's history drafting cornerbacks for example. Got it?

lol, yeah, that's why they went and bought the island... S.Smith, Grandma Davis, Brent Grimes, Cortland Finnegan, Jamar Taylor, Will Davis and Jimmy Wilson.Etc... Maybe Hickey can land a Baller CB in this draft... CB's are like OLB'ers you can never have enough of them..

like the player but he's a little raw...needs to use his body more...long arms good hips and fluidity shows good ball awareness...likely getting pushed up into round 3 cause of his top end speed 4.34...shows he can recover when beaten or close in a hurry with the ball in the air...

lot of upside as i see it...like the off coverage foot in the ground and drive on the ball fit for our d

I love this kid. Great instincts married with great athleticism are going to get you far. The rest is coaching.

He's a prototypical fit for Coyle's system, who is exactly the guy I would like to have developing me into a pro corner if I'm Phillip Gaines.

Mid second round down to late third round is stacked with really interesting players. You could round out your entire roster from that sweet spot, imo. I doubt we'll get to trade down, but if we did, I'd be looking to parlay as many picks as poss into picks from 45-90. You could walk away from this draft with JuWuan James/Cyrus K/Billy Turner, Donte Moncrief/Martavis Bryant/Allen Robinson/Jordan Matthews, Dominique Easley/DaQuan Jones, Phillip Gaines/Stanley-Baptiste/Pierre Desir, Yawin Smallwood/Telvin Smith/Preston Brown, Deone Bucannon/Dion Bailey, ASF/CJF/Lynch.....

I'm literally pulling those name out of my head as interesting guys, there are plenty more. While I think this team is crying out for special playmaking talent, I don't see any of it falling to us at 19. I would consider a trade-up for the right price, but maybe the really gutsy move would be to get down into the R2-3 area with a ton of picks. Guys like Easley, Gaines, Bucannon, Robinson, Bryant, plus a number fo good QBs in that range that I haven't even mentioned could all be very high ceiling guys with some elite potential.
