sure gus is not the answer. but if we had a secondary this year. i guarantee u we would be in the playoffs this year. eddie jackson and reggie howard both need to be cut right away. these guys cant tackle, cant cover, reggie howard gets a pi on every freakin play.

cut reggie howard bandwagon!!!!!!:sidelol:

yea he won a superbowl, what a fine coach, o yea that 63-7 loss to jaqs made him one of the greatest coaches ever.

Wasnt he working with like 4 first round picks and no salary cap when he entered the Dallas gig to get that superbowl. Jimmy Johnson and his plastic hair are the anti-christ:D

lets not forget, over-rated marino is the best qb ever but cant win it all :p. threw 4 picks to deon sanders once. marino is a peyton , cant win it all, choker

Jackson is practice squad fodder. Howard is a more expensive form of practice squad fodder. We should get replacements for those two.

What games did you watch ?? The secondary had issues, but the CBs didn't play as bad as the safeties, particularly in the first 10 games. But I'm sure that if Howard is on our team next year, it's a the vet minimum...We'd have also been in the p/o's if Gus hits about 5 deep balls in the first 7 games..but he didn't....

Daniels and Madison didn't play bad, Howard did. I've seen goal posts and field refs knock down passes and cover WRs better than Howard. Our safeties didn't do that poorly. Schulters had a fine season and Tillman produced. Other than Sam, most of our Ints came from the safeties. We just need some safety depth in case someone gets injured.

I am on the bandwagon and have been all year. I agree that we need a CB but hopefully Poole will be able to comeback and play well he might be a suprise. I think that if Miami would have held on to Pat and Sammy we would be in the playoffs with a home game this weekend

Howards sack fumble safety was the difference in the game. He had another big INT that was called back because of JT's supposed personal foul. Though he and Madison are likely to move on because Saban's design needs more of a tackler.

The problem with our secondary is not the corners. We will be in good shape with Will Poole back next year. The problem in the secondary is too many big plays. The safety is responsible in this defensive design to quarterback the backfield. This unit needs a better safety that can cover and generate turnovers. The opposing QB will look at the safety first and try to draw him out of position.

Oh comon, the safeties are the only bright spot. The CBs couldn't cover worth a damn on all of those 3 and 14s. That's the CBs fault..
