CBS Report: Peyton Manning likely to sign with Redskins

Eskin is the biggest loser on either Philly sports radio station and kisses Andy reid's butt like no one else, why would anyone in the Manning family tell him anything ?
 
What a ridiculous story. Ignoring the fact that it is the same division as his brother, Peyton is nearly 37 years old. The guy has 2-3 seasons left, at most. This means he will need to sign with an established team that is only a QB away from serious contention. Washington is a mess right now. They are a good 2-3 years away from legitimately competing at all, nevermind being a serious contender. I don't know where he'll end up, but I would put money on it not being Washington...
 
If he really wants a Superbowl he'd call SF and offer himself for league min. They're the closest in need of a qb. Arizona makes sense too but SF is just better. Both would satisfy Manning more than Miami right now.
 
i really cant see peyton going to the nfc east. basically they would be trying to knock each other out of the playoffs. not good for the mannings.more likely destination for peyton will be in the afc.

Peyton is 35 and will be 36 when the 2012 season starts.

And OF COURSE he'll sign with Washington rather than us, because I mean, f*** the sun, beaches, and an expensive condo on South Beach, right?!
 
If I was a betting man I'd bet that the Redskins go all out and pick up Matt Flynn to be there QB.
 
I've been told by a friend of a friend that he will resume his career in the cfl so there's no chance he plays his brother. :ponder:

As a fan of three Philly teams all I can say is Eskin is more often wrong than Bleacher Report.
 
No way. There's no way Peyton Manning goes to Washington. I believe Manning either comes to Miami, or goes to Arizona.
 
lets think of the positives for peyton manning playing for the skins for his sake.

um------------------ i cant come up with any.

I cant see him wanting to go to washington to play out his final few years of his career.

dan snyder is arguably the worst owner in the nfl ( yes worse than ross) they have no talent really on the offensive side of the ball that would make manning giddy, playing in the same division as eli twice, i just cant see it.

now do i think he is coming to us? well i would love it obviously, but i see our main threat as the 49ers possibly, because they have a legit defense, and if they got a qb, they can easily represent the nfc next year.
 
Eskin is just another hack. I would rather listen to a telavangelist on AM over this guy (I live in Philly). He knows nothing about other teams in the NFL, is currently in bed with Andy Reid (and I mean he is at Andy Ried's house right now in bed with him), and shouldn't have any knowledge on where Peyton Manning will be going. Hell Peyton has no idea where he is going.
 
makes sense to me...and i have no idea why so many are saying washingtons in shambles...san fran would be another team that should be involved but harbaugh may feel he owes alex smith another year after how he played in 2011...then again alex smith is a free agent...so maybe...

but i still say its washington or the jets when its all said and done...
 
yeah ok. and I'm going to replace tom brady next season
