i really think we should try to get a mid-2st round pick... i really want a CB... Cromartie is the one i would want. Mckelvin #2.... the only thing is them and all other top CB's that are sure bets will fly round one. Cason may be the only available top solid playmaker available in the second. there arent many definite ones, though there is talent throughout. your guys thoughts?

This year is going to be an absolutely great year for CB's. I think it's the most underrated position in this draft. The list of guys with legitimate NFL starting potential is about 20 deep! That means guys in the 4th-7th rounds are going to be absolute steals. Now if you don't think a later round guy can make it, just remember Asante Samuel was a 4th rounder.

Sure, McKelvin, Rogers-Cromartie, Jenkins, Cason, Talib, Porter and Flowers, they're all very good players. But what people aren't talking about is that there are a lot of very good prospects that could be diamonds in the rough, like Lee, King, Godfrey, Thomas and that whole 2nd tier of CB's. Where I really like CB's this year are in the third tier of guys who could be had in rounds 4-7, all have questions like Injuries (I), low Competition, (C), Height (H), Speed (S), etc., but some of these guys are going to be very good CB's in the NFL. I mean guys like Ikegwuonu (I), Scandrick (C), Branch (C), Trae Williams (HC), Jack Williams (HC), Moulden (C), Bowman (I), Smith (S), Wheatley (H), and others. Some of those guys are going to be steals.

Personally, I'd like to use a 2nd rounder to grab one of the premier corners in this draft, those guys you're talking about. Then I'm hoping we use a late (6th or 7th round) pick for another developmental guy, because there's a lot of talent to be developed at CB in this draft.

with moss in our division you can't really consider any corner under 7'0" lol
