[FONT=&quot]A stunner: Former starting center Bryan Stork is being released by the #Patriots today, I'm told. Crazy.

We need to start a massive cut thread, but with the need at center, I wonder if a waiver claim is needed here by Miami.

Plus, the team can "download" considering we get all hot and bothered when NE does that to Miami.

Health may be an issue. I believe he was ejected for fighting in practice also?

Wow! He must have some injury issues. He was supposed to be the starting center. NE is not having a good off season. That's too bad.

stays hurt

and he's only been in the league like 2 years and still stays hurt

thus the release

....
Stork entered training camp in an open competition for the job with Andrews; they had rotated repetitions with the first-unit in the spring and through the first three days of camp. But when Stork sustained a reported concussion on the third day of camp and then missed a week, Andrews stepped in and has mostly had the upper hand since.

Stork got thrown out of practice for losing his temper and wildly swinging punches at Bears linebacker John Timu during an 11-on-11 drill. Timu might have given Stork a bit of extracurricular activity as a play was ending, but Stork's reaction was way over the top -- putting both hands into Timu's breastplate and pushing him with force before swinging his arms at Timu.

This isn't the first time Stork has crossed that line in practice, but it's the first time he has been coached by Scarnecchia, who returns in 2016 after a two-year retirement.

It will be interesting to see how 4th round pick, Joe Thuney does this year at LG compared to our #13 OA pick Tunsil.

— One player who certainly is not on the roster bubble is rookie Joe Thuney, who’s started at left guard in each of the Patriots’ first two preseason games. Belichick wouldn’t confirm Thuney has secured a starting spot, but he did say he’s closing in on one. “Joe’s done a good job with what we’ve given him,” Belichick said. “… I think he’s certainly moving toward maybe being able to lock down something down at some point. I don’t think we’re there yet, but I think he’s certainly gaining on it. He’s had a good preseason and a good spring.”

I would be interested in this but he must have some bad medical right now

he fits what we want to do

You know darn well that BB probably had good reasons. Thats how I feel about it anyway. Someone will take a chance on him of course.

Like you point out he cant stay healthy also.

I'm concerned enough about Pouncey's long term health (this is his third hip injury correct?) that IMHO we should be looking at other long term prospects at C. I don't see where it would hurt to kick the tires on this guy if he really could be a fit.

With Pouncey in question I would take a look.

Also never hurts to pick the brain of the teams starting Center for the past two years.

Not sure how long term this guy is....

But the 25-year-old has had a long history with concussions, dating back to his college days at Florida State, and began the 2015 season on the short-term IR. He suffered another concussion last month in training camp.
