DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Dolphins center Samson Satele has been the rock of Miami's offensive line this season. He is the only lineman to have started every game at the same position heading into Monday night's matchup with the New York Jets.

Satele, a second-round draft choice of Miami in 2007, was signed as a free agent the first week of August to fill the void created by Mike Pouncey's hip injury. But his solid play through the first four games led to Pouncey moving over to right guard upon his return to the lineup against Green Bay in Week 6.
"It's always great when you have two centers out there," said Satele, who spent three seasons in Oakland (2009-11) and two with the Indianapolis Colts (2012-13). "I don't even have to look out to the right sometimes because the two of us can communicate to the guards and tackles. . We have a great group of guys on the O-line and anybody can fill in."

Personally I'd like for us to bring him back next year, and keep Pouncey at guard. Hickey is going to have to be frugal this off-season, and re-signing Satele would mean one fewer hole to fill in the off-season, and he shouldn't be expensive.
 
Im not sure...I think Pouncy wants back at C and I would want him back there too.
 
Definitely has performed this year. I have to say, I have been very pleased with the effort the O-line has put out facing all of our injuries. Benton has done a great job coaching them up and keeping us moving forward.

I think once the season is over and we start looking towards the draft, the Pouncy at Guard vs. Center will be more clear based on who might be available to us.
 
team will likely lose satele and colledge after this season promote billy turner and add one more piece that can play guard and center to the oline...unit is just about complete...high potential for us to have one of the best olines in football if turner pans out

High potential for Albert to miss time though. Maybe start Turner at RT til Albert is a go.
 
I like the idea of keeping Satele - he's a career starter and talented guy. Can't have enough versatile lineman.

possible he misses time but i kinda think he will be a go come week 1 but if not i'm sure they ride it out early with james over there and then plug at right tackle...be my guess...this team has its cornerstone tackles now so miami doesnt need to invest in anything other than interior player that can shift outside if need be in the draft there...which they will find out they have in billy turner eventually...focus on pivot and guard versatiliy if anything

and dont need to get it with a high pick...not looking tackle means you can wait a little longer
 
Samson Satele always did seem good to me and he has not let us down this year. Maybe he saved us. The line has done way better than expected.
