Centers that the Dolphins could sign to help replace Connor Williams

So that means what? Who plays LG then? Still leaves us with the same 3 in the middle until Hunt gets back. Once Hunt returns, we probably go Cotten/Eich/Hunt. Then should Eich get hurt, Cotten moves to center and Jones to LG. It's like swapping deck chairs on the Titanic. I still say our best option is to steal a guy from another team's PS. At least that guy had been practicing all year and not getting fat on his couch like these free agents listed here
That means this team still does not have a true center. Just as you have pointed out.

I believe we need to pick a center first round next year

Should be able to find a starter on day 2 at that position. I’d look into resigning Connor Williams now for a cheaper deal after the ACL injury, assuming he’s on schedule for a full recovery.

Yea, I thought of that too. Give Connor a 1 year deal and maybe he helps us mid season 2024

Where Mike Pouncey at
If we're looking to sign him hopefully he's at a buffet somewhere, he's gotta gain 70-80 lbs. quickly. Seriously though, good for him for dropping all that weight

Mike Pouncey: Fans stunned as ex-Miami Dolphins man shows ...

OMG….has anyone seen the All-22 of the final offensive play, 4th & 2, when Tua was sacked???

I thought I saw some horrible play from Liam, but this one is literally the worst, most inexplicable play I’ve ever seen. He has no one to block. Landry is hanging back, kinda spying Tua. Landry moves towards the pocket and Liam engages. In a split second, Liam turns his head to his left, disengages from Landry and leaves him a free run at Tua. He actually just let him go. For no reason. He didn’t pick up another rusher. He just released him. And Landry sacked Tua. Game over.

99.9% sure that Hunt is out this week.....it is what it is.......this is not an easy offense to learn so even if we bring in a veteran center don’t expect him to play right away........we must find a way to win this week and then hope that Hunt is back for Dallas

Armstead or Lamm/Cotton/Eich/hunt/Jackson is about the best we can hope for at this point.

One thing we can do to help the OL.....short quick passing game....a couple of screens to the RB's and PA passes

They can sign me and put me on the PS. I have many of years of experience with things between my legs.

See if running or passing game is going to work better with the OL for the Jets game. i hope RB Brooks is up for the game. :ffic:

the play you're talking about the whole OL lost.....Jones had to help Jackson cause Jackson lost......the left side was losing too so Eich went to help there.......if Tua had thrown the pass then what Eich did would have been fine but he had no way knowing that Tua was going to run......Tua had nobody open to throw it to but the whole line was collapsing all the way around him

We cannot get behind with this line. Mike better not defer. Get the ball and run, run, run

I read that he may not even be ready for the start of next year, a big risk with him as #1 center for any team I think

I don’t see it that way at all. There was absolutely no need for Liam to leave Landry unblocked. That was sheer idiocy. If he held the block, Tua had a route to escape the pocket. Instead, Landry was literally left to feed on him. The left and right were holding up enough. We might be talking about different plays. That is how differently I see the play.

we're talking about the same play.....yes Eich could have stayed on him but Landry wasn’t coming forward at that point...again, only reaso I think he did that was he was expecting Tua to throw it.....it wasn’t a QB keeper called in the huddle but lets say that we blame Eich for that play.....I'm not going to blame that one play for the loss.....we had 60 minutes to win this game but we blew it even though Tennessee tried real hard to give us the game.

I am blaming him 100%. I just posted it in a thread. Here it is. There is no explanation for this.
