CFL Edmonton Eskimo's runningback Jerome Messam signs with the Miami Dolphins

Call me crazy, but given his size, perhaps he will be a project at h-back/TE? Reminds me a little of Charles Clay. Seems way too upright to be a running back. He also looks stiff in his cuts.

I don't undestand whAt you guys are talking about, I live in canada and wacth the CFL alot. I can honestly tell you the MIAMI DOLPHINS JUST GOT THEMSELVES AN ARIAN FORSTER CLONE. BIG BRUISING BACK WITH COMBINATION OF POWER AND SPEED YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IN THE NFL SINCE RICKY WILLIAMS HAYDAYS. THIS GUY IS MIAMI'S BRANDON JACOBS. HE GETS THOSE TOUGH ONE YARD TO GO FOR YOU. THOSE GOAL LINE STANCE ARE THING OF THE PAST. IF HE CAN STAY HEALTHY, HE'LL BE THE MAN IN MIAMI. MOVE OVER DT, HERE COMES THE JEM!

He can't be any worse than DT(running upright), and we are getting him for a ham sammich.
It is good move by Ireland if the guy can keep his head on straight.
This move makes me think that they are not completely sold on DT, for good reason IMO.

He has not signed yet and is still mulling the contract

Jerome Messam isn't a Miami Dolphin just yet.
Several published reports late Saturday said the Edmonton tailback signed a deal with the NFL team. One report included confirmation from Eskimos general manager Eric Tillman.
But a CFL source requesting anonymity said Sunday morning that Messam hadn't put pen to paper yet and that he and his camp were still going over the NFL deal.
Messam enjoyed a banner 2011 campaign with Edmonton, becoming the first Canadian since 2000 to crack the 1,000-yard rushing plateau.

He does run very upright. Does not use his power as he should. He is a "long strider" which eliminates some power and quickness in tight areas. He is VERY STRONG. I wish him well and you just never know who will work out and who won't. We have all been fooled before!
