CFL | R. Williams attends first CFL workout

The Canadian Press reports Toronto Argonauts RB Ricky Williams attended his first practice with the team, the first of the CFL team's two-a-day workouts. He began the morning session shortly after 9 a.m. ET by lining up with the other running backs and taking handoffs from the quarterbacks. Williams showed an excellent burst of speed and appeared in great shape.

He's really gonna be a monster up there. I don't think they've ever had a back in his prime like Ricky.

I wont lie, it hurts to hear Ricky impressing ppl on another team...come back in 07

I don’t think we’ve had a back quite like Ricky, but another big name NCAA back you may be familiar with is Troy Davis, who is still in the CFL and played here through his prime. He’s another smaller back who excels in open space and so did well on the big CFL field. We also had Laurence Phillips for a couple of years in his mid to late 20's. He only lasted a couple of years before off field issues ended his career. Charles Roberts is a small, quick DI AA RB who put up about 6,000 yards in college. And this year we also have Onterrio Smith as well. We’ve have other very good backs here now as well but their names won’t be as familiar to you.

Hey SRF, are you from Winnipeg as well? I don't think Onterrio Smith will make the Bombers this season, he hasn't practiced at all and if he doesn't soon, he might be cut. He probably won't be playing on Friday, so it doesn't look good for him. The Bombers sure look line they could be a good team, offence won't be a problem. GO Dolphins and Bombers.

I will get to see Ricky play on JUne 23rd. The Argos are playing my Bombers and I will be there cheeing for Ricky, but hoping the Bombers win.
