Hello Folks - my first post here, and likely not many to follow. Full disclosure: I'm a NY Jets fan, have been for many years. The reason for my post here is to congratulate you on the signing of Chad Pennington. I have very mixed emotions about the season opener - on the one hand my heart bleeds green and white, but on the other, I am such a Chad fan that I just can't root against the guy. He's just a complete class act. He's a leader, a fighter, and you will never find more of a team first guy than him. The odds he's beaten is phenomenal, with all the injuries he's had to battle through and all the class-less NYers doubting him all along. Enjoy him, learn from him, and just remember that for each person calling him a weak-armed sub-par QB you can find two who will tell you how he's beaten him with his accuracy, smarts, play-action, and touch precision passes.

I guess come season opener, either way, I'm a winner. It was very painful to see him leave the Jets. Business is business, I guess. Well, it's your gain, now - I hope he leads you to a very successful season.

Yeah, there's a lot of mixed emotions over on gang green. Simply put, we upgraded the QB position same as you guys did, we just got different styles of QB to do it.

Who said all Jets fans suk, class post..thanks, hopefully we will get the last laugh and your welcomed to join.

Kind of similar with us and Jason Taylor. Ultimately you have to root for the team and not the players. Some players you will become attached to but in this business it's unlikely to find players staying with a team for an entire career. Nice class post. Try and beat the Patriots this year since we are still a year away from challenging them.

He is definitely a very classy, articulate guy. He made Farve look like a selfish prick.

Have you been keeping up with the Jets TC?

How was he doing? Was he beating out that other guy?

we got a first hand look at the guy, when he was going over things with henne/beck, and talking to o-lineman for a while. just got here, and he's in the middle of everything.

Yes, Chad was soundly spanking Kellen Clemens. He would have been the starter by all accounts. To be honest, I have serious doubt if Clemens can ever lead us one day. Brett Ratliff played very well in the season opener against the Browns (something like 14 for 20, 2 TD) and is having a better camp than Clemens.

Sad to say, but a few people here were talking about his "noodle arm" and then he stomped us.....good post, thx!

Thanks for the insight. Great addition IMO. Upgrade all the way and am hopeful for Henne as the future.
