WOw already calling him a bust w/ no real game time. I know he didnt look good last night but come on give him a little more time.

I never called him a bust...I just want to get the forum's vibe on the guy.

Remember how high we got on John Beck before he became a big-time bust during the regular season. Could the same be true of Henne? I am JUST asking so don't cut my head off.

You know that, barring a Penny injury, that Henne will remain (again) in the shadows. Pat White will see field time much more than Henne- you can be on that, the wildcat will be our signiture play again this this year and White will bring success to that formation. Henne will only walk the sidelines.

I've only seen Henne in this years pre seasons games and I must say I am not impressed.
His release is slow, he seems to aim the ball, and he picks out 1 receiver and stays with him.
Experience can correct aiming and honing in on 1 receiver, but I don't think the coaches can do anything to improve his release.
He's obviously a winner who can perform under pressure and he apparently has a strong arm although he hasn't showcase it. Other than that I don't know what the Dolphins scouts and coaches saw in him to pick him in the 2nd round. Most scouts had him rated very high, but the reason for it is
not apparent.
I hope we don't have another Ryan Leaf!

I never said he was a bust Greyboy...for the record. Nothing wrong with the thread.

Guess again. One bad preseason game, and everybody is ready to throw the baby out with the bath water. Right now, nobody knows for sure what Chad Henne's career will be like. In the meantime, folks could stand to get a grip on common sense and logic and just let things play out. Jesus F'N Christ this board went to hell and a handbasket today.
