Chad Henne Looked Like Tom Brady

Are we talking about the same Michael Irvin that everyone bashes and calls a crackhead when he offers an opinion that you guys disagree with?

Is it that Michael Irvin?

I'd hate to see hypocrites around here.

I like your way of thinking.

Although I am not convinced that Henne is no longer the Henne of old (I still see things I've always seen from him), I am feeling better about him specifically at this point. Not by much but a little. I dont care what you want to blame it on, but the fact that the offense only scored 10 under his watch is still concerning especially if he has audible powers.

But I am looking towards the future hoping that we can get that win week 1.

We scored 10pts because we were trying to get run blocking reps for tape study. We couldve easily exposed their secondary even more. Bucs had no chance.

if i take this thread in the proper context i totally agree. But i'd say that our offense looks like the pats. We run alot of spreads and we are throwing a ton of screens, then runs, then a deep shot etc etc. we have alot of quick passes. I am pretty sure Daboll was an assitant in New England and i cant remember if it was under McDaniels. Im not comparing Henne to Brady as far as skill set - but i will say that the way he is being used looks very similar to the way Brady is used. I LOVE it. i think Daboll was a great pick up. he seems to have his finger right on the pulse of the offense all the time. plays to their strenghts and plays to what they defense is giving them. he seems to know how to get Henne into a rythim and he will win the loyalty of his players and also help Henne gain their loyalty as well. Aside from some question marks at o-line - this is our team folks - 4 years in the making this is the completed parcells project with his QB. Sparano has brought the team into the modern era with Nolan and Daboll and the departure of parcells/henning Lets see what this team can do and go from there.

1st off hes a HOFFer and knows the game of football. How many rings does Irvin wear?

And You?

He had an offense tailor made for his strenghts, and received time to develop mentally and bulk up physically.
The key reason why some QB's succeed and other fail.

Brady is good but stick him on the 2010 Dolphins with Henning's play calling and no option to audible and I don't think he's a top 5 QB.

The jury is still out on Henne but at least he's looking like a starting NFL QB leading his team.

I know this, our WR's are a ton better as a group and reggie bush out of backfield is more dangerous than evelyn woodhead.

The point is that the ball was coming out of his hands very fast. Also, the completion to Fasano while being tackled was over the top good. That play was a highlight worthy play. That one play was elite, but no one should compare Henne to any top 8 QB. He has not earned that honor yet.

1. Nobody ever said he was close to Brady.

2. Henne started out as a short-distance-accuracy QB. He had an offense tailor made for his strenghts, and received time to develop mentally and was already bulked up.

3. Henne is not a favre.

What your doing is going off of last year and putting it with this year. Let last year go. Henne from last year wasnt capable of this. New OC new Qb.

Wait, what?

Henne has never been a QB based on accuracy. His game is all about arm strength.

As for an offense tailor made for him... It was an offense made for Pennington. Similar to those early Brady offenses, somewhat (not really, but that's besides the point). How is that made for Henne in any way?

I'm not projecting him based on last year. In fact I'm projecting him more nk this year's results (as limited as they may be) than on any of last seasons'.

Your post simply makes zero sense.

You should have seen the game. The Lions put on a clinic how to beat the Pats. The Pats defense is weaker then I thought and it's all about getting pressure on Brady.

This has always been how to beat Brady and the Patriots. My other main concern for our week 1 matchup is how are we going to handle Haynesworth and Wilfork. They will definitely be running more 4 man fronts with these two and trying to generate a push up the middle and I am really scepticle about our interior line being able to hold them back.

Henne made the plays he had to make. He didnt block like crap, he didnt fumble, he didnt drop ints. It's a team game, they all need to score more than 10 points. It's not only the QB out there.

You clearly missed his point. By your logic, if he came out and said that Henne is being overhyped in the preseason and isn't a very good QB, you'd agree with it because he's a HOFer? Or does it have more to do with the fact that you feel Henne will be a good QB so you agree with him in this instance?

I have a feeling that JCane is right. You'd drop that HOFer crap the minute he said something you disagreed with.

Michael Irvin said this earlier on his radio show today. It make sense because we are running a patriots type offense. Daboll was an assistant coach for the pats or something like that. Now IM NOT SAYING HENNE IS TOM BRADY but look at the highlights and he did look similar to him. Imo Irvin hit it on the head.
:hclap:
Somebody still gonna say im comparing the two.
Michaek Irvin is a loser to the max. Man makes me puke just hearing his voice. look at the open receivers Henne had when we were on Tampas 2 yd line. Good QBs make these throws. Thats the big game changing things good QBs do. Tell Michael Irvin to keep hitting his crack pipe and maybe he will see WTF is really going on. Pictures compliments of the Miami Herald. Two guys Henne could have thrown the ball two, two guys Henne did not.

Please, igonorant ones, I do not want to hear he was did not have time to throw here. Again, he could have knit a sweater and again, he could have made this throw easily. Even the path he took when he took off. If he had stayed left on the play he most likely would have been hit when he crossed the goal line. He chose to go right, right into a defenders arms. One decent game and all of a sudden People are comparing Henne to Brady ?????? OMG, that is really funny stupid
