Two things the Dolphins want Chad Henne to improve: get the ball out quicker to avoid sacks and not fumble when hit (on Sunday, he had two recovered by Miami). Both are critical against the blitz-happy Jets. . . .

Good to see Henne continue Chad Pennington's tradition of holding separate weekly meetings with his linemen and receivers. ``The way he carries himself and commands the huddle, it's like he has been playing 10 years,'' Justin Smiley said. ``He was fired up in the fourth quarter, saying things you can't print.''

Glad he is continuing Penny's tradition, it helps build chemistry.

good news.....he's gonna rush his throws and it's gonna be easy pickins'.

serously? Hes holding meetings? that would be great but I dont know how much I believe this.. I remember during preseason there was a thread saying how Henne seemed distant from the rest of the team, like he was a loner... On sunday even my wife noticed henne wasnt smiling and was standing by himself on the sideline, she said look at him, he isnt talking to anyone and doesnt lok happy.. is this the face of a determined field general, or the face of someone who doesnt want to be bothered by teammates?

The face of a determined field general. Game on. Let's be friends afterwards.

I think so as well.

If you think of a QB joking around with his teammates on the sideline, just imagine Tony Romo. The guy gets so much attention, yet hasn't done much in the league. I don't even consider him a top 10 QB.

Jacory Harris stands by himself all the time on the sidelines, and he is playing great. Plus, I have never heard the players say anything bad about Henne.

I hope so, I hope so.

remember when Dan was asked, "are you overly confident?" and his response was, "im not overly confident but I am confident!" Its henne's turn! and its Miami's turn all over again

It has been said he has been the same through his years at Michigan as well. I would not doubt he was the same during his High School years. It just seems like he doesnt wear his heart on his sleeves. I mean even when he was drafted by us he really showed no emotion either.

As long as he keeps hitting those quick outs, he can be a loner all he wants. Let's throw some quick ins and some slants this game against the blitz.

The Robot will not succumb to emotions!

Who's to say that doesn't have something to do with his eagerness to be a starter? I doubt it feels very leader-like to hold a clipboard on the sidelines. I imagine it's quite possible once he was named the starter the fire in him came out and his instinct to lead a team took over. Just saying..

Henne's going to be a good one i can just feel it and if the run game continues its going to help him even more. hes got to make some plays in the air to get defenses to respect him though.

If he throws the ball away when he doesn't have anything open, it's fine with me.

Of course, he had a couple decent runs on Sunday too.

I prefer my qb to be serious and mean business. Friends away from the game all business on Sundays. I take nothing negative in this. The guy wants to be leader.
