I have to say there is a lot of resemblance between these two, from physical appearance and personalities, to the playing field, and even just from following this board's take on both. Initially, Henne was finally meant to be the franchise QB we were looking for, however over time as he progressively showed more and more of how useless he is, this place slowly turned from complete support, to less and less, with eventually no remaining defenders for RoboHenne. In the end the hate thrown towards the guy was overwhelming and uncontrollable until he finally got sent packing. I'm noticing the same trend with Tannehill. And let's face it - he's got al the makings of a bust. I've watched most of our games this year and the amount of balls outside the 20 yard range he's screwed up, really reminds me of Henne. Most of the guy's work has come from short drop backs and 5-10 yard flingers with Clay, Wallce, Hartline etc. expected to do the rest. Not to mention how unclutch he is in key situations, again very much like Henne. Only RoboHenne would also lead his offence so one-dimensionally to a total of 7(!!) points against two division rivals in back-to-back games, both pivotal for the playoffs. Oh but yes, some will be quick to jump and blame it on Sherman, the rain, wind, bad luck etc. similar to the cries of Henne's last remaining defenders..I think this team needs to start fresh from the management down, and that includes a new QB..
Maybe Tannehill could try out for the receiver spot though, he's got more experience there than at QB after-all..Heck even Egnew has developed a bit there with us.. and then Tannehill could probably slide his way short of first downs from that position as well!
