Chad Henne Really Isn't Any Better So Far

The stats on Henne this year are misleading and you know it.
You are clinging to the QBR because it only shows "marginal" improvement. Yet you know two of those INTs are meaningless and he put the ball in Marshalls hands twice for dropped TDs. not to mention everything else listed in this thread that wouldn't show up on a stat sheet.
Everyone can see he improved from last year.
It really looks like you have an agenda
I do have an agenda. It's to be as objective as possible and not a homer.

With regard to what you wrote here, see post #90.

You can't pick and choose which plays you want to exclude. That's being a homer and is far more evidence of the kind of "agenda" you're talking about IMO.

I don't have anything against Chad Henne. I want him to succeed because I'm a fan of the team.

But I value my appreciation of reality more than my being a fan of the Miami Dolphins.

What you're exhibiting here is a paranoid, cult-like mentality that says, "anyone who thinks differently must have something wrong with them."

This isn't a cult. This is the following of a football team.

Don't attack me and tell me I look to have an agenda just because I don't agree with you. I can assure you that won't be a successful way of convincing me of your point of view.

I think that what rent your space was trying to say was that if you watched the games instead of only looking at the stats, your objectivity would be closer to being objective than it is right now

You don't think I watch the games?

The thing about it is this: you can watch the games, and you can "see" things you think are better about Chad Henne.

In reality those things may not have any relationship with winning. They may be subtle differences that don't translate to winning.

What translates to winning is quarterback rating. It has a very strong relationship with winning.

So when I see people say Chad Henne looks so much better, and I see his quarterback rating under 80, I realize that the things making him look better -- if they're indeed there and it's not just wishful thinking -- are unimportant things that aren't related to winning.

Let me know when Chad Henne's completion percentage is 60 or higher, his YPA is 7 or higher, and his TD to INT ratio is at least 2 to 1. At that point we'll have a winner on our hands.

Until then, whatever people are "seeing" probably isn't that important, because he's nowhere near that level, and he never has been.
