I know, im crazy for creating this topic, but hey i wanted a laugh so go ahead, take a stab :)

way to stink up my thread....

But seriously....Henne wasn't as mobile in the pocket as Tannehill, and nowhere near the speed of Tannehill. Arm strength I would say is pretty even. Neither have a rocket arm, but I would say both are above average. I think Tannehill is a way better thrower on the run...more accurate and a little more zip. I think they are about the same as far as leadership. Both really wanted to start right away. Henne probably doesn't have much upside, whereas you feel Tannehill can still improve a lot as he hasn't had much experience at QB.

Tons better, it starts with the mind and being able to command men!:hi5:

Arm Strength - Henne, he has one of the stronger arms in the league, Tannehills is good though. Henne has no control over it though, and doesnt throw as catchable a ball.

Accuracy - Tannehill, He'll throw some jump balls or sometimes lead his receiver into a hit, but he plays the timing game so well, and likes to make hard throws outside the hash marks too. Potential to have much better chemistry with receivers. more experience and he'll own this department. henne can complete a lot of passes but that doesn't make him accurate, he can't hit a player in stride

Pocket Awareness/Poise - Tannehill, he seems pretty savy back there and aware already. A natural. Henne still seems oblivious.

Mobility/Athleticism - Was surprised with Henne this season the way he moved around, but let's be honest, Tannehill is already one of the more athletic QB's in the NFL.

Toughness - Henne was robot, but you could tell things got to him mentally and phsyically. Tannehill has displayed his toughness as a wideout and plays the QB position the same way. I think he wins in mental and physical toughness

Size - Both are prototype size, but tannehill in better shape. Henne has bigger hands.. your call. Tie?

Personality - Both seem like dorks, Tannehill is a little more country? TIE?

You know, I was just thinking to myself, "Valandui (I refer to myself in the third person with my screen name in my mind), this board needs another thread comparing Ryan Tannehill to Chad Henne. The thirteen other threads doing the same thing weren't enough, we need more." Lo and behold, I logfed onto Finheaven and here was this thread. The OP must have been reading my mind.

I gave Henne an honest chance for 2 years over his first 3 seasons. I'm cautiously optimistic about Tannenhill, but he'll have to play to answer that question.

Tanney has a higher ceiling than Henne. That doesn't guarantee RT will be our saviorat QB.

I think one thing to keep in my mind about arm strength is Tannehill has only played QB a few years in college, and I think his arm can still get stronger. You don't have to have a cannon like John Elway though.....as long as he has a nice quick release he should be fine. I have heard some people say an NFL football is a little bigger than a college ball, but I also heard someone say they are the same size, so I don't know how much hand size matters. I don't know if Henne has a hotter girlfriend or wife, but I doubt he does. But I think Ireland did a great job in the draft and we'll see how long it is before Tannehill is ready to start.

for one he's definitely more athletic. but we need to surround him with some serious WR's.

How about this- Henne has proved he sucks, Tannehill just has the opportunity to prove it. Let's hope he fails.
