Hurried 18 times, hit 12 times, and sacked 4 times,

Just wanted to mention that or those that discredit his performance, and also to those who didn't blame the O line

So it was much worse than it looked. Pats did start blitzing late because Henne was burning the heck out of them in the air and we didn't do a good job of picking up some of those blitzes.

yes our oline was terrible. even jake long got beat by nincovich (who we thought was worse than quentin moses btw - where is quentin moses now??) they had pressure on henne on 47% of his snaps, and they werent blitzing. according to profootballfocus. thats not good. henne played very very well under the circumstances.

We got dimensonial and a few times Henne didnt see the blitz...The Patrick Chung sack was perfect timing by Chung..But Henne has to see that and change the snap count ...Overall Henne Played well..The O line needs to run block better

Ive been telling people that ever since the game ended. Everyone has been telling me the line was improved and Im like "WTF". Henne was constantly hit immediately after throwing or while throwing. It really did impress me how he was throwing strikes in heavy pressure. Made his game all the more impressive. And throw in the fact that we couldnt run at all when we needed a yard or two...our line was trash.

Oh, and the Pats were missing their starting RT and C and we couldnt cause Brady to move so much as one step.

I'm stunned that people look at our line play as a positive thing. It was terrible. Against a team with no outside pass rush. Colombo, Carey, and Incognito were as bad as expected. That's what makes Henne's performance all the more impressive.

even big jake struggled some in pass pro from what i saw...henne took a really bad tight red zone sack that was imo all on the qb...got to throw the ball away there...

worst part pats don't really have any what i'd call high end pass rusher talent on that team...just wait til we face teams that do...it will be a blood bath

I wasn't all that impressed with the Patriots' pass rush because there were stretches where the front 7 couldn't get close, but I thought they did a good job getting pressure in clutch moments. I wish they had blitzed Mayo more.

henne will not last the year with this line.

that is probably accurate. he certainly wont last 16 games if he gets hit like he did in this game all season. and hard to imagine he wont. incognito allows pressure, long wasnt great the other night (still feeling the effects of sparanos dumb *** decision to play him in the preseason last year) and he wasnt himself down the stretch last year after hurting his knee again. columbo is a turnstile and wait till he meets mario williams. carey isnt comfortable at guard yet, and dont know if hes in good enough shape to play the position.

agreed...he may not make it to the bye week...way too much pressure in and around his legs...and that bonejarring sack by wilfork...well i'm surprised he got up...

they had all kinds of pressure in hennes face from the interior. he had to get rid of the ball quickly. go back and watch
