Im just a little curious as to everyone's thoughts here. Going into this training camp I had no doubt in Chad Henne's ability and 100% saw him as our franchise QB of the future. However his struggles so far in training camp have begun to make me wonder. I am just curious as if you guys think he has been looking better in training camp, worse, and are you more encoraged or discourags so far? Note that I have not been to any of the camps personally as I live in VT so thats why I am asking for your guys opinions and such!

we just completed the first week of TC. defenses usually have a leg up early on. Pennington got intercepted quite a bit and that's absolutely unlike him. i'd prefer those guys take their lumps now and be ready for the season.

What struggles? It's TC. All the QBs are making throws and getting picked off. Wait and see how he does in the next 4 pre season games.

He has the ability to make all the throws. But doesnt have the smarts yet to lead a team like Penny..Put Penny's smarts and Henne's abilitys then we will have the best QB in the NFL and hopefully Penny is teaching him

funny yall mentioned that Pic, as I was about to make a remark about them Buns, myself.
Glad she isnt my GF.. sheww. I work hard enought during the day.

BTW, that girl is Molly Cavalli. And a total lesbo so stop dreaming.

Edit: also, Chad Henne.

Well one thing about his bad performance in the 2-min drill is that the defense knows whats coming. The defense almost always has the advantage. I'm reserving judgment until he plays in the preseason.

i went to camp on the 2nd and he made a bunch of good throws, he has a strong arm and he showed good pocket presence.

I loved Chad Henne and I was extremely pumped when the Fins picked him up in the second round last year.
In my opinion, he was the second best quarterback in the '08 draft. My rankings were as follows:
1. Matt Ryan
2. Chad Henne
3. Joe Flacco
4. Brian Brohm
5. Andre Woodson

At Michigan, Henne was a 4 year starter at a very prominent football school. He exhibited great leadership skills, a live arm, accuracy, consistency, and real grit. He was never able to beat Ohio State, primarily because his defense let him down quite often and his supporting cast was never quite as good as what Ohio St. had. He was never able to win a bowl game either... That is until his senior year when he led a fairly inferior team into Alltell Stadium to face Florida in their own backyard.
Henne put on a clinic and made sure Lloyd Carr departed Michigan with a proper finish. Michigan upset the Gators 41-35 while Henne went 25 for 39 for 373 yards. 3 TDs and 2 ints... He threw 2 picks because he had to throw constantly into tight coverage to keep up with Florida's vaunted offense. Henne won the game's MVP.
In short, Chad Henne has all the makings of a very good NFL quarterback, he just needs the right grooming.
