I am not going to compare Henne to Marino, I am not going to say that he's the next big thing, but it's so nice to hear announcers gloat over the arm strength of a Miami quarterback - first time I've heard about it in a while.
In the game, they were talking about how he needs to put less zip on certain throws - and it occured to me "when was the last time you heard that about a Miami QB?"
I don't know how good Henne will be with Miami, but I do know this - had any other quarterback post-Marino been put into the situation Henne was in, there wouldn't have been overtime. The game would have ended with 6 minutes to play.
This guy is not only able to run out of the pocket, but can also just jam balls in there (that's what she said, I know) on 4th downs.
What happened yesterday, good and bad, was because of Henne - and while I'd rather not see the bad, I am embracing the good.
Other QBs make mistakes and are buried Chad Henne makes mistakes and goes out there and corrects it.
Marino, Favre and all the great QBs threw lots of interceptions, too.
GUNSLINGER!
