I am not going to compare Henne to Marino, I am not going to say that he's the next big thing, but it's so nice to hear announcers gloat over the arm strength of a Miami quarterback - first time I've heard about it in a while.

In the game, they were talking about how he needs to put less zip on certain throws - and it occured to me "when was the last time you heard that about a Miami QB?"

I don't know how good Henne will be with Miami, but I do know this - had any other quarterback post-Marino been put into the situation Henne was in, there wouldn't have been overtime. The game would have ended with 6 minutes to play.

This guy is not only able to run out of the pocket, but can also just jam balls in there (that's what she said, I know) on 4th downs.

What happened yesterday, good and bad, was because of Henne - and while I'd rather not see the bad, I am embracing the good.

Other QBs make mistakes and are buried Chad Henne makes mistakes and goes out there and corrects it.

Marino, Favre and all the great QBs threw lots of interceptions, too.

GUNSLINGER!

He has a tremendous cannon and makes some throws most mortals can't. It's pretty awesome. That's why I'm still very high on him. When you have the arm of a gunslinger you're going to throw picks when you're first plunged into the NFL.

.....or someone needs to teach him.

He has the makings of something good, but the guy is virtually a rookie.

Anyone that compares him to Dan Marino is kidding themselves.

yes... he's got an arm, great! to bad thats all he's got! he alone officially ended our play off hopes yesterday, did u see the winning drive by rothlisburger against the packers... that's a franchise QB!!! not henne!

I don't know if you realize this or not...but this is Henne's first year starting. Roethlisburger has played almost 6 full seasons in the NFL.

And mistakes can be expected with a young QB. You find me one who makes NO mistakes. And go back to any great QB and you won't find many guys at all that just tore up the league to begin with.

You are either 1 of the 3 John Beck fans or a Pat White fan. How can you not be excited about a QB that can make the tough throws, can roll out and fire a bullet into the WR's gut, and can take the blame after a tough loss in which he threw 3 Int's.

It's 1 game. The guy is 7-4 as a starter and you are ready to cut him. Roethlisberger is a 5 or 6 year veteran who got drafted by a team that pretty much had all the pieces outside of a good QB. Their defense was phenomenal his first few years and the Steelers could run the ball.

Did Henne make some mistakes yesterday? Oh yeah, but he also made some throws (Bess down the sideline) that shows he is growing.

It's getting tiring having to write these responses every time Henne has a difficult game. There is going to be growing pains, he's essentially a rookie and our defense couldn't even stop a High School offense. The defense is putting a rookie QB in situations that are not ideal for a rookie QB.

Enjoy the ride with Henne, b/c if you don't, it's going to be a long 10-15 years of Dolphins football for you. This guy is going to be the Dolphins QB for awhile and you are going to have to either accept it or move on and route for a different team. Most of us fans don't want to keep writing these kinds of replies, so can we all just accept the rookie mistakes from a QB that looks to be our future for many years?

I don't know why people were pinning so much of thier hopes on this season. Realistically even if we do make the playoffs, we have so many holes that asking this team to win 4 games against the best in the league is like asking for God to suddenly give everyone on earth a billon dollars. It wasn't meant to happen this year, enjoy whatever wins we still have coming to us. I'm not sure we can even fill the holes we have by next season, whats great is that after a 1-15 season, we've enjoyed two seasons where our team had something to play for in late december.

Wow. Please go back and watch Ben's games as a rookie. He was a "game manager" that they didn't even trust to throw the ball very often. They rode their defense and running game to a 15 and 1 record and were still stomped by New England in the playoffs. What you're seeing now is a MATURE Roethlisberger with the savvy to lead his team with his arm. Compare them years from now, not 11 games into Henne's career as a starter.

Get some perspective please.

matt ryan... completed 265/434 3,440 yards 16td vs 11int, 61.1% passer rating, playing for a bad team, rookie coach, and brings his team to the playoffs!!! u want anthor? joe flacco!

They didnt carry their teams...they had weapons around them. Henne has NOTHING on offense. And the defense is "ok", but they are far from great.

Flacco had a GREAT defense and Matt Ryan had Michael Turner, some good WRs and a solid defense.

henne had very good recievers in college, manningham, and arrington, and still failed to produce in big games! scouting report... struggles with accuracy, looks like a fish out of water, when the pocket collapses, relies on his arm srength to much, all things we r seeing. yes some correctable! some not . you can't be taught how to escape pressure when the pocket collapes, you have it, or you don't. you can't be taught how to win big games, you either have it or you don't!!! and he dosen't !!!
