Chad Johnson arrested sat night for Domestic Violence

I guess we can all agree now that Chad Johnson is a.....

Well he said he'll get arrested on his day off. Don't know why he even married that tramp.

Cut him now. I'm starting to think the whole Philbin regime is a joke pretty quickly. He couldn't look Chad in the eye when repriminanding him, folks argued he was watching practice only he was looking the wrong way. Sean Smith has matured? OH great, fan fu$#%$kin tasitc he still can't tackle. David Garrard is so great he can't make it through 2 weeks of camp, players consider Matt Moore the starting QB anyway. Not sure this will end well but first sample stinks. I've been watching football for years and I'm a preseason doesn't mean sqaut guy all the way. With that being said it's nice to see your starters just line up with no ****in gane plan and look sharp once in a blue ****in moon. For the miami Dolphins that doesn't happen, in fact for the Miami Dolphins you're star, big mouth women beating WR can't catch a routine 3rd down conversion. I'm very dissapointed, I know we aren't an SB team in 2012 but the strength of our team, the lines, blew chunks last night. Now Chad can't be married for a couple months without getting physical with him wife? Give me a break! I live in NE and made it very ****in clear to Pats fans I thought Johnson was done last year. Aferall 100 year old TO outplayed him in his own offense. I was hoping he would turn it around this year but obvioudly theat aint happening.

Thumbs down but no reply, fine! We should have kept Marshall, he may beat his wife but at least he has a diagnosis for a mental issue and produces on the field. Johnson is a joke and I think the Philbin/Ireland days are numbered. Lets see how they handle this, they traded Marshall (one of the top WR's in the league) for similar problems certainly a guy with 15 catches last year should be gone!

Because those morons drafted Merling and he wasnt nearly as high profile as MuchoStinko. MuchoStinko is a FA here on I believe a one year contract. Much easier to cut than a guy you drafted at the end of the 1st round.

Well, yeah. I've been arguing for pages now that despite the self satisfaction of saying "cut him," to a large degree how much people feel Chad was going to contribute to the team really is at the root to a lot of the reactions to this. If Chad was younger, and higher paid, and better... suddenly it's not so clear cut, just as it wasn't with Brandon Marshall until we traded him away (to much consternation). The circumstances make it awfully easy to take the moral high road here.

But the Merling thing... yeah, he's lower profile. But that's partially because he wasn't very talented. Not much downside in cutting a guy who can't play (and I doubt there was much of a financial downside at that point in his contract). But Chad is a starter. That doesn't mean much with our WRs, but still, a starter. If Jeff Ireland isn't willing to cut a backup who admits to beating his pregnant girlfriend, why would he cut a starter engaged in a he said, she said?

Not saying I agree with that. Not in the slightest. But people are viewing this sort of simply... not just their own feelings but how the FO should or will respond.

The wildcard in this is Philbin, like I said. If he's truly trying to set a different tone, that could be the thing that sends Chad packing.

Incidentally, if he's released, it would be the first time since 2007 there was no one named "Chad" on the team.

Well, plaxico is still available, and he can still catch the ball
yeah and we let edwards get away he was balling it against the titans. we will cut johnson and not go after nothing until its to late like always.

No, because Chad Johnson was clearly a douche before this, and that was a lame ass excuse.

Again...no one knew Chad was going to stoop to this kind of idiotic level. Being a knucklehead on the field is one thing, hitting your wife is another. That's no excuse, just reality.
