Chad $ pennignton has been great at playing the QB position for us this year. He has displayed how a QB should play in this league by being as mistake free as possible, a vocal leader and mentor (in and out the field), controlling time and setting tempo. Looking at the situation of How C$P was acquired by us (his release by the jets was cold) and the time and team material he had to work with (a young and new team). With all that on his plate C$P still managed to accomplished the unthinkable and that is to Drive 1-15 team from last season into a winning record team with some serious playoff contention this year. If we win the last two games *on the road * and C$P maintains his level of play he is easily your LEAGUE MVP.

Then hopefully he wont get robbed like with the PRO BOWL!!!!!!!!

there's a bunch of candidates for MVP this year, honestly. i just hope Chad gets a vote or two

MVP, Pro Bowl please. I love Chad Pennington when he was up here but he is know league MVP, he did a wonderful Job managing a team winning with smoke and mirrors. Hate to tell you but your little Chad Carpet Ride is coming to a crashing Halt this week and next and you''ll be screaming for the other chad by week 5 next year

Thanks for your insight into the future, Ms. Cleo.

I think there's an argument for the pro bowl, err... was. But not the MVP. At the least, Warner, Brees and Manning are having a better year. Comeback player? Maybe...

The only reason I disagree with you and think that Payton or Adrian Peterson have the best chance is largely look at where their respective teams are.

Payton just had a monster of a game agains tthe Jags last night that guaranteed them playoff berth where, at the beginning of the season, they looked lousy. The guy simply took what was spiraling into an early 2009 draft pick of a season and put his team on his shoulders and made it a winner.

Peterson on the other hand has already surpassed yards in a season records for the Vikes and, if he continues to play at that level for the next two games to the point they win both, he will have successfully help carry the team into a #2 seed where their season looked dismal at first.

Dont get me wrong folks, I am extremely proud of our team for not only keeping us viable all throughout the season (especially late into December!) and I am especially proud of the fact that we seem to have an amazing core of a team along with a great staff guiding us out of the abyss that was last year's season... The thing is, when we are talking about MVP, we aren't necessarily talking about last years performances, we are simply talking about what player has taken his team THIS YEAR to the playoffs and beyond. Don't get me wrong, CP10 has freekin rocked but I gotta confess, I dont think he has had enough performances this season that make him standout from the crowd compared to the others mentioned.

My two cents.

Still think Warner has a better chance than Penny on play.

Look I'm not saying Penny is going to win over anyone but the award is Most Valuable Player. So take Penny off this team and we win maybe 5 games, you can't say the same with Warner because Lienart(sp?) steps in and goes 500 and they still win the division.

There are alot of worthy candidates Manning, Harison, Ryan, Porter, Brees, Peterson etc.... Farve (hahahahahahahahah)
