Chad Pennington coming up on The Herd on espnu/radio

[SUB][/SUB]So what exactly are you saying? Did Sanchez lead the Jets to the playoffs? According to Pennington, no. We all know your feelings on Pennington so are you changing your tune to match Penningtons view?

Yes he did lead us to the playoffs. Not in a way a Manning or Brady does but w/o his quality play we don't make it.

Chad is one of my all time favorite players and probably the best person in the NFL. That doesn't mean I agree w/ everything he says.

Sorry but leadership is about leading like Manning and Brady. Not about being a game manager. The Jets dont allow him free reign for fear of his sometimes idiotic decision making and below average accuracy. Rex only wants him to not lose.

Wish Chad would either coach or do major media. He's probably the most intelligent QB that's ever played in the NFL.

Intelligent about what? If you mean well educated, he's got competition from the Ivy League guys.

Montana was the ultimate game manager, and he's considered the ultimate leader on the field.

Not that I agree with it, but it's the general perception...

But he won many games for us, he was more just a game manager as a rookie not so as a 2nd year player.

Joe Walsh trusted Montana and Montana was an extension of Walsh on the field. Sanchez does not fit this description.

Yes he was Junc. Your head coach even says so. It's Sanchez's 3d year and Rex still considers him nothing more then a QB he doesnt want to cost his teams a game.

"Sanchez is not on my fantasy team. I just want him to win."

when he makes a statement like that it is towards the nitwits who just look at fantasy #s. Mark makes plays to win games and was huge reason why we won 11 in the reg season and made the title game again. He wasn't reason #1 but he was major reason why.

I will agree w/ you, he's not Joe Montana but there are only a handful of guys in the history of the game on Montana's level.

I haven't changed at all, you guys are interpreting what you think I am saying. I stand by everything I have written about mark. if you guys had him you wouldn't have been looking for QBs this offseason.

You are right we would have been looking for a QB, Head Coach and New GM.

Junc you dont make a comment like that in public about your QB. It doesmt matter what you interpret it as and its not the first time he has alluded to this. He did make some big plays in a couple games but you are maximizing his role in their success.

Led you to playoffs? And without him you wouldn't have went that far? I could name 28 qbs that would have gotten you guys to championship game.

You totally missed the point of his comment. He knows Mark is a winner and makes plays to win games, many other supposedly better QBs w/ much better #s melt in big spots. Mark does not.
