If there ever was an individual who has ***** slapped those that tossed him on the ''whatever'' pile it's Chad. They basically threw him away to obtain Favre and all that he's done for the Jets organization is apparently worth nothing. Favre might wanna read this post before playing Sunday and giving everything he has both physically and mentally to an organization that treated Chad like a shovel with a broken handle. The Dolphins deserve this conference title, the Jets do not. Moreover Pennington deserves this moral victory over a team that names loyalty a 1 way street.

I really believe this is one decision gonna come back to bite the Jets in the butt!

There is a Klingon proverb that says revenge is a dish best served cold. It is very cold in New Jersey.

It already has, we'd be playing for seed w/ the division clinched if we kept Chad.

I never thought I'd say this but I kinda feel for you guys...... If I had my way, the Patriots would be eliminated, and the Jets, Dolphins game would decide the AFC East. I feel for you because you very well may be in the same boat as the Pack was in waiting to find out if Favre is done or wants back in. If he's out, you're right back to where you started, without someone like Pennington to at least be there to mentor a young QB.

So let's all pull for the Pats to lose (cause I for one am sick of them winning every year) and hope that the AFC East is represented by the Dolphins or the Jets ((( preferably the Dolphins )))

Go BUFFALO!!

You honestly think we would have beat the Titans or the Patriots with Chad?

There is absolutely no way Chad would have us where we are right now if we kept him. The fins are using him to his strengths and have the wildcat.

Chad wanted out of here the entire time and in Miami he is motivated.

As good as Chad is doing and I am happy for him, there is no way in hell we would have the same success if we kept him.

Hey, look on the bright side though.... just think of all the money your organization made with all those 4 jerseys..

Also, now the Dolphins have to deal with Chad for at least another 2 years. They are obivously going to keep him as a starter for next year and when he falters in the faces of actual defenses, they will realize WHY the Jets got rid of him. Then after that year, it will be a QB competition in camp for the starting job between Henne and Chad.

The Jets can finally MOVE ON. With Favre more than likely retiring, we have no choice but to find our future at QB. Sure, we may not have a very successful season with Clemens, or Ratliff or whoever we start, but at least we are making a commitment to find our starter for the future.

The dolphins, well, they will have to wait a little longer.

I don't think the jets disrespected Chad, they both needed a change, and releasing Pennington and letting him go wherever he wanted seemed a nice thing to do

I can live with that......:d-day:

The Titans yes but probably not the 2nd Pats game but definitely the 1st Pats game so they cancel each other out. I can say confidently I think we'd be at least 11-4 had we kept Chad. The QB has held us back most of the season.

I really think they cared about jersey sales and PSLs more than winning.

By the way, don't forget, Cassel will be available after this season..... I don't think the Pats can keep him. I'm sure he'll be wanting a big contract after this season, and I don't think they can tag him. I first thought he stunk but he's pretty good.
