Chad Pennington knew what he was doing when..

he didn't pass to Tedd Ginn. Pennington would throw baby passes that he knew Ginn could catch under easy circumstances. :)

Not gonna even justify this post with a response.... the ignorance on this board doesn't surprise me anymore

To be honest, I don't see any sort of ignorance at all in the original post. It's entirely likely that Pennington didn't want to throw the ball to a receiver who wasn't going to make the play. Ginn had one good game, but that was it. It was obvious who Pennington's favorite targets were. And Henne will soon make it obvious who his favorite targets are.

I think you're just in a bad mood and for some reason want to convince yourself that Ted Ginn can still live up to half of his supposed potential. You don't want to face the reality that this team is going to have to find a way to bring in a dynamic receiver to complete this offense.

Actually, I don't see any ignorance at all in his post. It's entirely possible that Pennington knew Ginn has a problem. Chad is very very smart QB.

ginn has confidence in his speed...i dont think hes as confident at catching passes..which is why he loves kick returns so much

Sorry guys, their pro players... qbs go through their reads and throw to who's open.... Ginn made plays last year at times and Penny looked to him... to the tune of 56 catches 790 yards... there were many times last year that Ginn dropped a pass or was the primary target and the ball was overthrown, underthrown etc... anybody that has watched this team the last 2 years would know that Penny did not not look for Ginn or throw "baby passes".... stupid post... this is pro football get some insight

That was last year, this is this year, just saying. The only person who knows for sure how they felt about passing to Ginn, is Pennington. I don't think anyone can say this is a stupid post.

whats ur point? That was last year when Ginn was better.. He has regressed as he has dropped more balls thrown to him than he has caught.. If I were the QB, I wouldnt throw to players who consistently drop the ball either, no matter if they are open or not

I really don't think there were a lot of under or over throws to Ginn last year. I think the truth of the matter is that there just weren't that many throws to Ginn altogether. He did end up with 56 catches, but if Cam or Bess had played a full season opposite Ginn, they would have ended up with far more. As it was, Cam was his go to guy before he got hurt, and Bess was the go to guy afterwards. Ginn was the potential big play guy, but not really used much in this capacity.

Yeah well most of Penningston passing to Ginn was last year, was it not... the stats don't lie, and it's ridiculous to think Penny was purposely taking any zip he had off the ball or throwing "baby passes" as some guy stated when throwing to Ginn... any qb knows that your throws are dictated by what the defence gives you and that includes velocity and touch....

Personally yeah no one really knows how he felt about passing to Ginn... obviously he stayed positive in the media, as he gave Ginn lots of props, but the stats illustrate that last year in particular, gives no indication that he stayed away from Ginn .... so in that sense yes it's a stupid post and a post defended by guys who really seem like they haven't played the game in their life, unless you count playing as sitting in your armchair drinkin beer and ******n when the fins lose about things they really know nothing about... but thats just my opinion, i could be wrong

Blasphemy!! Pennington is the real reason that Ginn isn't a superstar... his noodle arm has been holding back Ginn's true potential. I know this is true because I read it here just two weeks ago.

My point is in the above post.... and this is about Penny targeting Ginn, which happened the majority of last year, in case you weren't aware Penny got injured in the SD game this year and hasn't played the last three games as he's on IR.... oh and that means he's out for the remainder of the season, so he only played with Ginn in the Atlanta, Indy and SD games.... so ... thats my point
