hey do you guys thin we will sign him to a longer deal considering his performace stays the same and he stays healthy? He is pretty young...

God i hope so. I've been a huge Chad fan since he was in NY. I was ecstatic when i got him, and enraged when i saw people calling for Henne up until just before the Buffalo game.

32 years old, i can see him starting here until he's 36 maybe 37 IF he stays relatively healthy.
 
what's more impressive is we shut down the #1 Phil Rivers,#10 T. Edwards, and previously top 10 (until he played us) jay Cutler. How bout that defense babyyy

i dont see why not...it took brady how long to get noticed...Per say He stays healthy i can stay happy with an accurate qb like pennington. I just dont understand...he is defenitly the best qb since Marino so why push him out for a rookie or young qb that hasnt proved himself. I say..if we are winning big put henne in..training camp, preseason play him all you want. But i dont want to gamble especially since we started winning. It taste to good to win and we havent done it often enough.

Problem is noone knows whar we have behind chad, for all we know we are still shopping for a QB. Personally i like Chad as our "stop gap"

actually didnt take brady very long to get his first start, 1 season + 3 games. Im with you though, I'll ride this Pennington train until it derails, may that be a few more seasons. hes giving us a great chance to win every game, i prefer that kind of football to high scoring/high turnover chaos.

let henne take the aaron rodgers path unless penne loses the job.

Perfect way to put it. And Aaron Rodgers turned out just fine might I add.
 
Imagine letting Penny go to another team next year after his contract, and Henne does a Beck on us...he needs to get extended and finish his career here and play until Henne "the future" takes the job.

Henne wont take a Beck on us.

Either way resign Pennington. I thought I read earlier that Pennington wanted to finish his career in Miami.
 
It's almost a shame he doesn't get to throw the ball more in the redzone. his TD/INT looks pedestrian compared to how well he's played. I guess that's what happens when you have Ronnie who can just pound it in most of the time.

We brought him in as a stop gap but he's more than that now if he can avoid anymore injury problems that's plagued his career. He is 'the starter' hands down for the moment, and he's absolutely playing like one.

looks like releasing pennington for the jets was a great move...haha actually it was..cause we got him!
