I love Pennington's attitude and the leadership he brings to the team.
This season, Pennington, who turns 33 in June, wants to continue what he established a season ago, when he was the AFC’s second-rated passer.

Pennington began the off-season workout program with his teammates on Monday. Next week, he said he’ll begin working with the team’s wide receiving corps twice a week and the running backs and tight ends once a week.

I seriously hope that the football gods give Penny a break and he stays healthy. When he's not been hurt he has been one of the top QB's in the league. Yeah, the schedule will be tougher but the team will be better as a whole, Penny included.

he better be... if he does not... he will sit down to henne or bEck

Pennington is the man :rimshot: & may well be the future too!
too much speculation on the unprovens :thanks:
:woot:a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush:hump:

If this guy developes good timing with his recievers for a deeper ball he will be very hard to unseat.

agreed Friends SpaceMountain & arcane1229

however, there is the issue of conditioning (injuries) & the deep pass
what we know is Pennington played injured for the Jests many seasons
damaged his shoulder on his throwing arm & never seemed to regain100% from the injury
what we saw last year was a much improved throwing arm & a much better conditioned Pennington

with a new interior line Penny should have the time to set his feet, coupled with the strengthened shoulder, I think Pennington will nail the deep pass (40-60) consistently, opening the game for GinnJr & stretching the field.

when Penny ended last season, he picked up a conditioning program w/ his long-time personal trainer. his two stated objectives for the ambiguous project was to maintain improve his athleticism while regaining full strength of his throwing arm.

I believe Pennington @ 33 could have another four or five years of competitive ball left in him. He could, as we post, be entering his rebirth as a Franchise QB. He just might be the guy to lead us to the SuperBowl in 2010.

We could very well be witnessing a Football Renaissance in the making.

the position is his until a #2 can take it away from him & I don't see that happening anytime soon
