Don't thrash me for this...but I believe if penny would have never gotten injured.tony would still have his job..unfortunately injuries have derailed him..BUT with the limited qb market and poor draft position to take rg3 or luck.why not pennington? Sure he has a noodle arm,not the biggest guy,but he wins.so what I am asking you all, would you be opposed to bringing him in IF we can't get at the very least Matt Flynn?come in and compete with Matt Moore? If he checks out o.k medically? The team has done nothing but gotten better since he took us to an 11 win season after that horrible 1-15 season.I think he is very capable of taking us to the playoffs and beating out Matt Moore with this current team..express your displeasure or interest on this unlikely/likely circumstance.I personally am all for it as a worse case scenerio..

Nah I think Pennington's done bro. Time to move on. We need a long-term solution.

Pennington really wasn't that good. He got bailed out by the wildcat, and when the wildcat got stopped, he looked really bad.

Flynn was running an offense powered by jet fuel against a defense powered by bull****. He may be a better than a flash in the pan and could push our Matt for a job but his skill set is available for a lower price than what we would pay to get him.

We had nothing on offense at the time..besides Ronnie n Ricky.he never was a bad starter even with the jets.what I'm saying is its at least a safe option.I don't want to reach for a qb and set ourselves back some years hoping a qb develops just to satisfy us fans.there are only 2 first round and this year unless you are reaching..all I'm saying is,he can at least push Moore "if" he i our best option goin forward and even if we do draft a weeden, kellen Moore etc.I personally don't think Moore, pennington and a rookie as a 3rd stringer is the worse situation

I really liked Chad and he is a winner, but at this point he is done.
As far as Matt Flynn, it works both ways. People say a small body of work to look at doesn't proove anything...well neither does it prove that he isn't capable of being a franchise kinda guy. Truth is none of us know at this point, one way or the other. There certainly isn't enought to look at and say, oh he just plays in a good system with weapons and will never be a franchise QB. Well he just might.

Man...I just wish we were in the playoffs right now...I believe that these guys that we are mentioning can at least get us there this year.with the jets turmoil, the bills bein the bills and this great schedule we have.I don't see why Matt Moore can't win at least 10 games with this roster?Alex smith? T.J yates? Flacco? If these guys are better they aren't by much.(no disrespect to them) I have a feeling despite the rough start to this season we will actually look like a decent team this year

Pennington would be awesome. If he stays healthy through the season, for sure we make the playoffs, maybe further. He would do way better with this team than he did with the 2008 team. Hope it happens.

looks like lucy pulled the ball out from under you again charlie brown on this one...

The great Penny....people never learn.

Pennington lead the Phins in 08 to a decent record. Too bad it was against a last place schedule. The WC was born to bailout that offense. And a offense w/ the WC that ended up the 23rd ranked offense, winning 7 games by 7pts or less to teams that were .500 or worse.

Let Penny go. The Jets fan did, only in MIA is this guy still looked at as viable.

True, however Ted Ginn and Greg Camarillo were his best Wr's. The Bills and Jets had the same opportunity with Brady going down as the difference between a first place schedule and a last place schedule is 2 games (and we lost those 2 different games anyway) so we beat them out on the remaining identical schedules. I by no means want a CP comeback to Miami, he is done, but it's funny how Matt Ryan gets tons of excuses with Roddy White, Julio Jones, Michael Turner and Tony Gonzalez, yet Pennington gets all the blame with the highly regarded Ted Ginn, Greg Camarillo and Anthony Fasano.

Also if the Jets skipped the Favre experiment and stuck with noodle arm they easily beat us out for the AFC east title. CP would have never blown as many games ad Favre did with more talent around him then we had.

12 Ravens in the box in the POs should be enough cold water to sober up anyone still intoxicated by our China Doll's illusionary 08 season.

As a player, no. As a QB coach, absolutely.
