So here is a challenge. Build the ideal fantasy Miami Dolphins team with players from the Miami Dolphins teams from ONLY 2000 and on. Meaning if their career ended before 2000, you can't use them. So that means you can't use Marino, Duper, Czonka or anyone that played for the team before the year 2000.

Per BahamaFinFan78 suggestion here are mine:

QB: Ryan Tannehill
RB: Ricky Williams
RB: Ronnie Brown
WR: Chris Chambers
WR: Jarvis Landry
WR: O.J. McDuffie (played in 2000)
TE: Randy McMichael
LT: Jake Long
LG: Mark Dixon
C: Tim Ruddy (honestly anyone other than Pouncey)
RG: Laremy Tunsil
RT: Vernon Carey

Oh. And you don't have to give a reason as to why you picked that person.

Do you mean a fantasy football team, or a fantasy football team? :)

Okay, let's go position by position. Offense first:
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
TE
LT
LG
C
RG
RT
Who you got for these?

I'll add that to the original post. Me personally? I don't have anyone. I don't obsess over football the same as others. I know only a few key names from over the years. There are a lot of players on the current team that I don't even know the names of.

I am just trying to come up with something to distract people from all the complaining.

Why not:

QB: Tannehill; backup: Pennington
RB: Ricky Williams
RB: Jay Ajai
WR: Jarvis Landry
WR: Chris Chambers
WR: Kenny Stills
TE: Charles Clay
LT: Jake Long
LG: Laremy Tunsil
C: Mike Pouncey
RG: Wade Smith
RT: Todd Wade

QB: Pennington
RB: Williams
WR: Marshall

I forgot about Dixon - good call. A lot of these guys played before the year 2000 so they are ineligible per the OP.

Wade Smith? You have got to be kidding.

I'm going to allow myself to pick players who played the MAJORITY of their Dolphins careers after JJ and Marino left. So that means that I can pick Jason Taylor, but not Tim Ruddy. Here are my picks:

Offense (11 personnel)

QB: R. Tannehill
RB: R. Williams
WR: W. Welker
WR: O. Gadsden
WR: K. Stills
TE: A. Fasano
LT: J. Long
LG: L. Tunsil
C: S. Satele
RG: J. Nails
RT: V. Carey

Defense (4-3)

DT: N. Suh
DT: P. Soliai
DE: J. Taylor
DE: C. Wake
MLB: Z. Thomas
OLB: L. Timmons
OLB: J. Porter
CB: S. Madison
CB: P. Surtain
SS: R. Jones
FS: B. Marion

Messed up that our linebacking corps has been so bad that I immediately realized I want Timmons on that team. I'd love to have picked someone in place of Joey Porter, too.

I know people are going to flip over those WR picks. Sorry, but in your heart, you know I'm right.

Nope. So long as they played on the team from 2000 and after they count. Never said when they started with the team excluded them.

In that case, I'm taking Tim Ruddy and Tim Bowens at C and DT (sorry, Samoans).

Wade Smith? You have got to be kidding.
He was a human turnstile as a tackle, but later had an all-pro career as a guard for the Texans (very late bloomer). Also, our guards have sucked pretty much since Keuch, Newman and Sims so it was tough to come up with any names really...

I can respect your WR picks. I loved Gadsden. I really think Landry is better than Welker - and if Landry played that role for Brady and Manning it would be evident but hard to argue w Welker's productivity. So no flipping here, just a difference of opinion. That's a Superbowl D right there for sure - only change I'd make (and I always felt this way when the two guys played together here) is I'd go Starks over Soliai. I know Big Paul, was well, bigger but Starks made more disruptive plays in key situations - he had a knack.
