As per ESPN insider here is a link for those of you who talk the controversy of how many dropped passes "chambers" has.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/columns/story?columnist=joyner_kc&id=2466157

for those who aren't
you may be surprised (or not ) to see McMike actually drops a higher percentage than chambers

ranges from just over 2% (the best catcher) to 19% worst among top team receivers who had 40 catches or more to qualify.

Chambers - 11%
McMike - 12%

enjoy

note that horrible passes they manage to get their fingers on actually count as drops

yeah its a espn calculated stat by some writer, i mean need to take it for what it is. but nice to see both are somewhere in the middle. How many chamber catches wouldn't even be considered catchable by most receivers.

but still a dec. tool to see how everyone stacks up for the most part

Chambers has a nack for making the circus catch and missing the one right in his gut...it's something he just needs to clean up about his game.

that happened a lot with Chambers and even McMichael especially with subpar QB play from Frerrote, Fiedler, and Feeley.

We've been talking bout this the last hour in VIP... an interesting fact is that the receivers with fewest drops have good QB"S and generally the receivers with the most drops have marginal QB's...

Randy's fumbles piss me off worse than the drops. I think both show lack of concentration at times but at least now they have a coach that will stay on their tails. Marty didn't seem to have a problem with drops and he has had just as bad QB play and rotating qb's in Chicago.

that might be very true but is not like that QBs that we had are great and no QBs is perfect so for them to drop that % is really good they are still great players noe even marino was perfect but he is still the best ever

This is exactly why you can't EVER blame the QB for dropped passes. Chris has made some unbelievable catches on passes that were seemingly uncatchable. The QB's job is to throw the ball and the WR's job is to catch the ball. Never ever ever, is it the QB's fault for a dropped pass. If the WR gets his hands on the ball the QB has done his job. Remember we aren't talking about overthrows or under throws or INT's, we are talking about DROPPED passes. WR's in the NFL are the best in the world and are paid that way. The QB has too many other responsibility's to take on the responsibility to make the WR's consentrate.

The WR's in history that are probowlers and HOF's didn't get there by dropping passes and they helped their QB's look better. The WR's job is to catch the ball, that's not the QB's job. Look at some of the passes Peyton throws wobbly ducks and off the mark, but a probowl WR like Marvin Harrison doesn't drop manny passes. Thats not because Peyton throws a perfect ball every time, it's because Marvin takes pride and passion in what he does. For the Lions to lead the lague the last three years in DROPPED passes tells you it's the WR's not the QB. Why?? Because the law of avg. favor good WR's. There is no way good WR's will drop more passes and lead the league for three years in dropped passes. However WR's with poor technique and coaching will.
