Think about this. Moulds is having some issues in Buffalo and I believe is a FA next year. He is having a down year so not too much $$$ as a FA. We are in need of another WR. Imagine Moulds and Chambers on the same field? We could most definately spread the field put chambers in the slot on a 3 WR set Booker and Moulds out wide. Ronnie in the backfield and Jon Kitna as QB (he would be my choice for a QB. Can throw the long ball the OC likes) the OL is solid. This would cause a mismatch on Chambers and open up running lanes for Ronnie. This is something that won't eat too much cap space and still be able to draft a QB for the future but be able to compete next year. I believe the defense is going to get better with a year under there belts.

Can you say AFC east champs in 06?

I don't know how likely that scenario is but I sure would like to Moulds in a fins uni.

Could be worse, we could be having Derrius Thompson at WR.

Moulds would be great but

chambers is our #1 reciever we would never put him in the slot, if your 1 and 2 WR's are Booker and Moulds you have 2 possesion WR's

It would be chambers as the #1 and Moulds #2 Booker in the slot

We would never put him in the slot??????? Isn't that how Chambers has had two straight good games- Linehan working him out of the slot more in Oakland and against Buffalo. Just because he is the #1 receiver doesn't mean he has to be in the "x" position every snap.

And I definetly would NOT call Moulds a possession receiver. Yeah, he is having a down year but he can make big plays. I am all for Moulds if we have a shot at him.

Yes work chambers in the slot some, every WR does, but chambers is an outside guy, if you put booker out there then there isnt as much of a deep threat as chambers

Booker is more of a slot WR, he has more speed than most people think and he can work over the middle

Id also love moulds though, I know he can make big plays, but at this point in his career he is more of a possesion WR

I believe Chambers in the #1 receiver and when matched up in the slot is on a safety or nickle back. Big mismatch. I agree that him in the slot full time would be a mistake but to take advantage of him on a 3rd DB would be awesome. Moulds a possession receiver? I don't think so. He can still spread the field. And Booker might be thougt of as a possession receiver but I remember him catching lots of long balls for the bears.

Moulds used to be more of a speed guy, but he is getting older, and yes he can still spread the defense, but if you notice the Bills put a speed guy on the other side of him and moulds is becomeing more of the sure handed downfield guy, than the electric deep ball, or yard after catch guy he used to be

I totally agree with you about Booker in the slot. But I think it would be great to have Moulds and/or Chambers playing the X (on the line- sorry if you knew this) and the other playing the z position and able to create mismatches. I am glad to see we both agree that having Moulds would be a good thing, though! And you are definetly right about Moulds starting to lose a step, he is 32 this year!

You wouldn't be saying that when he scores his first TD in a fins uni against the Jills. And why not. He's mad at Buffalo and what better way to get back at them than playing them twice a year and burning there circling wagons!

32 and still going pretty strong :D

Moulds would be a terrific addition to the Phins next year. A veteran guy with great hands, and I'd be willing to bet that at least twice a year, he'd have a little somethin-somethin left in the tank.
