Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers is being given repetitions aligned in the slot, which could help him rebound from a disappointing 2006 campaign. Chambers played exclusively as an outside receiver last season, which made it easier for opposing defenses to scheme their coverage against him.

I think the slot position is the right way to go with him.The question is who will be the Number 1 receiver ?

Also news about Rod Wright backing up Vonnie Holiday and Jason Allen being worked exclusively at corner.

I like what ive heard so far...Allen is at CB....CC back at the slot where he belongs.

Playing in the slot doesn't mean CC is not our number one receiver, it simply means we are going to move him around to try to get better matchups.

fair enough, i think the question was who is lining up on top of him if he is in the slot? and perhaps that answer will be Ted Ginn Jr? just speculation....

Ginn would play flanker.

He's still going to be the number 1 receiver, he's just going to get moved around and his versatillity will be used this year. Chambers can run out of the slot and the flank and will be used in motion and shifts and even some times out of the backfiled like last year. Just because he will lineup in differnt spots doesn't mean he isn't still the primary receiver on a lot of our passing plays. I like what Cam is doing so far, under him I think Chambers returns to 80 catch 1000 yard 10 TD form.

Oh maybe on our team, but on most teams I see him as a slot guy. then you utilize his best ability, his speed.

That I cannot answer. Depends on the team really. Some starting WRs cannot play well in the slot.

Dude, #1 WR doesn't mean the one who plays outside. lol

#1 WR is the #1 "option". The player the opposing teams scheme for and is considered the most dangerous.

Chambers is still the #1 WR. We will just put either Kelly Campbell out wide to stretch the defense with Chambers inside and Booker on the other side.

Also, Tedd Ginn Jr could very well be our #9 pick in the draft. As he is scheduled to come in next week. If that is the case, Chambers still will be the #1 and Ginn Jr will take Campbell's spot and move Campbell down the depth chart.
