Really guys..How many times have we seen that same play where Ronnie Brown goes to the right and hands the ball to Chambers for the reverse.
The positive about it is that it seems to be working everytime, and don't ask why teams cannot stop it even though we run that play 3 times a game.
V.S Denver we almost had a TD but Chambers went out of bounds
V.S the Chiefs, we had a TD but was called back because of flag
V.S The Bucs,Jets,Bills, it worked for big gains.

My question: Does Linehan lack creativity?

Have we done a flea flicker this year? I can't remember. I think that would work pretty good. I don't mind a reverse every game, but more than one in a game?

I forget which game it was but didn't they do two, one with Chambers and one with Welker?

not if gus is in he will overthrow our wides:rofl3:

So 3 times in nearly 40+ plays an entire game is 50% and equals lack of creativity? Huh?

Do you lack math skills? I mean I'm all good if you just come out and say we run x play too much and show the level at which it's excessiveness is apparent. But to make a blanket statement that's 50% of the total play calls when it's not even 10% of the play calls and the summarize with Scott being less then creative is beyond ridiculous.

Calm down genius...Use the ignore function!!!
I put 50% of the playbook to draw the big picture on how often we run that reverse play....The same way I could say Gus misses 99% of his pass attempts just to draw the big picture but we all know it's way less than 99%.

No I think this relates more to the identity question. This play is part of it, it's one of the plays that works most of the time, and thus it should be used once every game.

i remember a flea flicker lastyear. AJ fumbled it!
i remember a double wr reverse WR pass booker fumbled it!
i remember a WR reverse this year. Chambers fumbled it!

Do we have to be creative to gain yards? cant we be simple and use our RB to run? i ould say use our QB to pass aswell but he isnt really a QB!

It's worked every single time, so Linehand uses it often. That's not lacking creativity, that's being smart. This topic is dumb.

If we can't get our best athlete the ball, give it to him on a reverse.

Are you watching the games? Our biggest yards come off our creative plays. So yes, we have to be creative.

I don't think Linehan lacks creativity though. If he did we wouldn't do any reverses.

The minute that play is successful, the ones who say Linehan's playcalling stinks, will come around 180 degrees. Just b/c our players arent executing doesn't mean that the playcalling is mediocre.

Once we hit the big play, everything changes

Welker also gets reverses, and rightfully so. I think when your line / Qb isn't getting it done you hafta do things like this to spark the offense and get some drives going. Linehan is catering his offense to the players IMO... His offense is known as a vertical passing one, but vertical passing just isn't our strength.

Maybe, but what the hell, it seems to be the only play that works.
