Even with the horrible offensive schemes lat year, no RB, and a terrible OL, Chris Chambers still had 900 yards receiving and 7 TD's, with all the offensive changes and upgrades, Chambers should be licking his chops right about now :eating:

Time for him to produce.

We have a running game.
We have an offensive system that includes some stretching of the field.
We have the depth around him at WR (Booker, Boston, DT, Wes, Gilmore, Newson, Davis, etc.)

Put up or shut up Chris.

And I love the guy, I really do, but if he doesnt produce this year, he may just be a career underachiever.

Just thought I would add- I realize our QB position is far from stable, but good receivers find ways to make their QBs look good. As long as AJ/Gus play SMART and get the ball somewhere in his area, he should catch it.

Chambers has all the talent to produce but, it's all going to depend on the QB to get him the ball, and the O-line to give the QB time to throw. I am excited to have Linehan as the new coordinator and I think his will to go deep will help Chambers have his first 1000+ yard season.

is there a reciver that had over a 1,000 yds with a qb as bad as jay?

my thoughts exactly

LOL!!! Yes don't forget thoug, he still needs to catch the easy passes as well as the hard ones.

He needs to catch first then worry about his break out year.

He could have very easily already had 2 1000 yard seasons if he could just hold on to the ball.

He is not an underachiever he has put up great numbers for what he has worked with. If he doesn't do so well I won't be bashing him at all because that either means hes still adjusting to the system or we are spreading the ball out nicely.

It all depends on our definiton of "breakout" I consider brekaing out to mean having solid stats and be a known name around sports, and I believe Chambers has already "broken out" Now I know he has no 1000 yard seasons or pro bowls, but hes been a solid reciever for the Dolphins all 4 years IMO.

Looks like someone needs a time out.

Calm down buddy... there is no reason to believe that he wont have a 1,000 yard season this year. You seem to be almost disgusted or have lost confidence in our star WR. There isnt one position on this offense that hasnt been upgraded yet, and he had 900 with the team last year that too many problems to me to type, let alone count.

Chambers has been set for a huge year for 4 years now.
Actually he hasn't been set up for 4 years now, Jay Fiedler couldn't throw a ball 50 yards if his life depended on it, he wasn't accurate either. At least A.J Feeley and Gus Frerrote have more ability, and will at least get the ball to Chambers, Miami actually has coaches that know what they are doing now, The line will be improved, they have a good running back, but they won't put the whole load on R.Brown and be predictable, and take a bunch of oppotunities away from Chambers like Wanny did with 80% run plays. Scott Linehan will also help out too. To view last year as a measuring stick for Chambers is stupid, last year was a wash as I see it, I knew things weren't going to go well for Chambers or any of the players, they gave it their all but it was just as mess, confusion everywhere. Even with all that stuff for the past four years Chambers did good. As far as I'm concerned I cut out last year, and 2002 when Chambers was really doing good until that devastating hit to the head He took in the Denver game, he obviously wasn't the same for the last bunch of games after that. Dispose those two trash years and you have a nice rookie season that Chambers had, and 2003 where he was just under 1,000 yards at 967, but yet with Fiedler, Griese swapping back and forth still had the third highest TDs in the league. He will breakout this year, don't worry about it, I feel pretty confident about that. If not then I would be wonder about chambers also, but I feel he'll only do better now since there's a sense of direction now in Miami under Saban.
