Chris Chambers was frustrated with his lack of involvement in the passing game on Saturday. He had only two touches until the fourth quarter, and finished with six catches for 35 yards. Coach Dave Wannstedt told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel he hopes to get Chambers involved in "five or six" downfield passes. Receivers coach Jerry Sullivan told the Miami Herald he also expects more deep throws this week. "Anybody who knows me knows that I want to get those guys downfield," he said.

this does sound promising for our vertical game. hope it happens!

This is the first time Sullivan has said it, though. Maybe he actually has cause to think it will happen...

I will believe it when I see it. Chambers has the potential to be an all pro, but every week we fail to utlize him as often as we should. With him, Booker, Mcmike, and Feely, there is no reason why we shouldn't have a good passing game except for the playcalling.

He better get more catches, he starts for my fantasy team.

One of my teams features Chambers *and* Booker. I wouldn't have done that due to bye weeks if nothing else, but we drafted before Marty got traded.

Well now is the time to get Chambers and Booker involved...especially with the Bengals horrible secondary.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the two offensive minds on this team, Trestman and Sullivan get together and talk in private. I can only imagine what their true opinion of Wanny's mind set is. They must be reading Norv's past comments about this team and wonder why in the Heck they even came here. I hope some of these guys can get through Wanny's thick skull but if Norv could'nt get through to him as his OC I think it's a little much to think some offensive position coaches will change his mind.

They've been saying that for years, but now we finally have a qb with an arm who can throw an accurate downfield pass.

We'll see it this week.

He needs to end the year averaging 5 or 6 catches a game for us to have a half-decent offense. Chambers is the best player on our offense and he should be the focal point.

The short passes over the middle are good, even though he only picked up about 5-6 yards per. Last year, Chris said that when he's involved early in the game, it gets him into a groove. We just need to get him the ball in every possible ways. Down the field, on the outsides, inside, screens, and reverses.

How about a WR pass from Chambers to Booker like Moss to Robinson? ;)

It is far more likely that you'll see a Booker to Chambers WR pass. Booker has a nice arm and did this maybe once a season for the Bears...

Oh yeah, I remember that.

I hear that! He was useless for me this week! I'm hoping he puts some points up against Cincy.

they say it every week of every year though

We don't have Ricky Williams anymore, so he's the best player on the offense. We now have to get him the ball week in, week out. We also had a QB who couldn't throw the ball deep.

The only time Chambers consistently got good passes thrown his way were those sideline passes that Jay throws. Now we have a QB with an arm, who hopefully can hit him in stride rather than setting him up for a concussion.
