With Green who is a magnificant play action guy and Teddy Ginn Junyaa taking DBs 40 yards downfield with him, look for Chris Chambers all year long. Big time numbers are coming for CC in 07 as long as we have any kind of running game.

THis is true as long as the O-Line keeps Him up right.

Im guessing all of our offense will reap the reward of a quick-release passer.

Quick release? He was sacked 21 times last year in 7 games. Thats almost a 50 sack pace. Kc also has a better line than the dolphins...

i agree all the way Chambers back to the pro bowl

That 50 sack pace should tell you all, our line wasn't any better than Miami's last year. Both lines gave up 41 sacks last year, and we gave up 41 without starting Culpepper. We might have had the worst pair of starting tackles in the league.

here's the daily obligatory "Chambers is an all star" thread . . .

yawn . . .

I love how people who find threads boring still find it necessary to read and comment in them.

What's more interesting is how sometimes a small change to an offense (e.g. upgrade from Harrington to Green) might have a huge effect on its effectiveness. For example, even a slightly quicker release can have a huge effect, reducing the available reaction time for the secondary to break on the ball, or even the d-linemen to block a pass. In addition, the difference between a good play action fake and a bad one is seconds (at most) but those seconds keep the defense off balance and increase the effectiveness of both the throwing and running game. In my opinion, although Green doesn't seem to be Pro-Bowl caliber anymore, his presence will help substantially.

Thats all gonna change soon. KC OL is now in decline because two PB's gone.

It should also be noted that our OL sucked real bad in the first five games or so and then things got much better. If our OL can do what it did in the later part of the season from the begginning and we do score 20+ points per game, I say we are going to the playoffs. We can beat NE and I dont care if they have Moss, it wont matter.

we gave up 20 some odd sacks in the first few games til the line jelled (and an immobile DC was replaced)

Don't forget that Chambers has already worked with Trent at the Pro Bowl in 05!

Im glad youre hear to point that out from a chiefs fans perspective. Didnt you guys lose linemen to FA, injury, and a HOFer to retirement? Youre line was worse than ours and can attribute to the lesser run attack and overall worse performance of the offense including Green. That and Herm Edwards is the worst coach in the league.

People keep pretending the chiefs still had the same OL they had 3 years ago. People also keep pretending our line blows when it was actually decent. I think it will get much better this year and if it does we will score in bunches with that play action from Green to our trio of dope receivers.
