I have been reading posts on this site for a while and im jus so tired of hearing that chambers is not a good reciever i would take him over half of the # 1 Wr in this league. I keep reading that he is not a 1 but a 2 or 3 reciever and that is rediculous las yr they had no running game an average college team could have shut down there running game and chambers still was able to have a good season wit tms knowing he was one of or only options down the field putting up 69 catches for 900 yds and 6 touchdowns. The year before that we pounded the ball with ricky running the ball 75% of the time in our offense and he had a solid yr with 64 catches for almost 1000 yds and 11 tds so give the guy a break he is a dominant reciver in this league and for all u ppl saying take braylon edwards most scouts compare his skills and ability to that of chambers so maybe you should think bout that.

I agree he is a play maker and a great receiver, but I think his talents would be better showcased as a #2 receiver with someone like Braylon Edwards taking the pressure off of him and getting him some better match ups. See Burress and Ward.

Chambers is a very good receiver and extremely talented. But so far he hasn't put up spectacular numbers or dominated on a consistent basis. The potential is there, but IMO he's not one of the elite WR's in the league...yet.

Wow, I have been on this site several times a day for three years. I don't recall seeing anyone say that. What I do see is people saying he is a good WR and deserves someone opposite so he can get some room and lose the double teams.

Me thinks you overstate the problem, but your value of chambers is legitimate.

did u not see wat i said at the end evry one of the analysts and scouts compare braylon edwards to chambers the only way i switch him to the 2 would be getting mike williams because now u have the big possesion reciever to go along with chambers who can spread the field that would be a nasty combo but having edwards who is afraid to go over the middle which is proven does not help us. we would be able to spread the field but then you have no possesion receiver.

He has the ability to become a true #1 wide reciever but people won't think of him as one until we get an o-line to give our qb a chance to throw the ball to him

if we got mike wiliams i understand wat every one says making chambers the 2 but othawise he is the 1 and better than half of the other #1 recievers in the league

Exactly. The potential is there, but so far his performance hasn't been enough to put him up there with Moss/Harrison/Owens. With an offence that passes more he could very well elevate himself into that group.

My sentiments exactly...

What does it matter if you call him the #1 or #2 WR? How many plays does a team run where they don't have at least 2 WR's on the field? And with Linehan's offence it's likely we could see a lot more 3 WR formations. Where are you getting this idea that people are saying Chambers isn't good?

He would have had a few 1000+ yd years if Fiedler had been a more accurate passer. I've lost count of how many times Chambers would be open down the sidelines and Fiedler would overthrow him. Then when there was tight coverage Fiedler would underthrow him.

AWESOME post, I have been saying that he is a star all along and the reason he hasn't been considered one is because look who he's had throwing him the ball and supporting him? McMichael is good, but he needs a good #2 guy to get some of the pressure off him, and it has to be a WR to do that, not a TE. He (Chambers) is my biggest case AGAINST Edwards or Williams in round one. We have Chambers (and McMichael and Booker) who are a VERY capable WR core, and I'm sure AJ or Gus can get the ball to them, whereas I'm NOT sure Gordon or Morris can make a difference in the running game, so don't pass on RB in round one for a QB or WR, because of the three RB is currently in the worst shape for us.

I agree.......... except for being the site several times a day for three years:D

Well after watching a guy like Mushin Muhammed be the only weapon the Panthers had and post the numbers he did, id have to say Chambers isnt a #1 wr, at the very least not a proven one by stats or play.

I think chambers is going to excel in this offense, no doubt if he had someone on the other side with as much potential he could excel even more, but honestly a perfect combo in my mind would be Chamber/M.Williams. Chambers isnt a posession WR, M.WIlliams will be in the NFL, but he will have some big plays, no doubt. Edwards and Chambers are more similiar to eachother then Chamber/Williams are. I'm not one for a first round WR, but if we do draft one of these 2 I say Mike Williams!
