do you think there is a strong possiblity that Wake starts over Roth, i think the chances are very high. I think Parcells has high hopes on Wake, Roth was a stand in last year IMO, he will be used as depth for the next season.
 
Wake has a chance to start as much as a rookie sensation does. This is the year Parcell drafts his LB, he would have to beatout Roth and a Rookie and in all honesty Roth has the upperhand cause he has a year of starting at the position. Miami needs a pass rush opposite to Porter and the door will not close o JT till he signs with another team.

I agree that another LB could and will be drafted could start instead but as you say "miami needs a pass rush opposite to Porter" by the looks of last season Roth isnt even close IMO. Wake has a lot of potential in that department.
 
If he applies same work and effort in mini camps and preseason that he did to being a success in Canada. I say he has a good chance of cracking the line up at least as a 3rd down pass rushing specialist.
 
I have seen Wake play and think he'll play only on 3rd downs this year.As bad as some think Roth plays in space here,Wake is about 10 times worst.

He should get around 5 to 8 sacks in spot duty.He can play DT on passing downs as well so he'll be on the football field a'lot but he is years away from being a starting OLB in the NFL.

Roth had 5 sacks last year, and just about never played on obvious passing downs.The lack of pass rush your talking about wasn't coming from Roth because he wasn't even on the field.

Charlie Anderson is the one you should be upset with for his lack pass rush because Roth wasn't even given' a chance to play on passing downs.
 
I dont think anyone really knows until training camp and we his play vs NFL talent.
 
I'm hoping the guy is a beast for us, but in all reality the likelihood that he comes up big for us *this* year is very low. It's basically like expecting a rookie to have a huge impact - totally possible, but I'll bet Vernon Gholston would have been pretty good in the CFL too.
 
i think he will replace roth on passing downs and his role is prob more of the WOLB his strenght is to rush the QB more then nething else.
