Former Hawaii (QB) and NCAA record setter Timmy Chang is without a team. If we gave Berlin a chance we might as well give Chang, someone who did something impressive in college, a shot!?
 
last i heard he was with detroit. did they cut him?

No, training camp is over so we dont need an extra arm. Chang is not very accuate and has a weak arm. Theres no way we get him. No team will want him.
 
ahh no thanks, he played in a really QB friendly program in Hawaii, it was amazing that he was even ever picked up. His stats were not really indicative of his QB ability especially in the pros.
 
Arent the qbs on our roster bad enough?
 
Chang will probably go to the CFL. If he improves up there and gets stronger, kind of like Jeff Garcia did, he could get another chance at the NFL in 2-3 years. IMO.
 
how about saban scouts the qb's coming out of college right now?

he has done well with draft picking so far.

i say he does with a qb from the draft next year in which he can review all the possible qb's and interview them and do his homework on them.
 
I say we get him, Rohan Davey, and resign Brock Berlin and just cut all three dorks we have now.

Bears got a steal no matter how it goes. Before his subpar year last year he was talked about as this years #1 pick. Even with his subpar year he should have gone in the 2nd.

Honestly if Saban had gotten Webster in round 2 I believe Orton would have been our pick in the 4th. I shall forever curse the Giants for snapping up Webster which forced the Travis Daniels pick (who for a 4th rounder might turn into a solid #2 corner). Saban did say he was looking at Orton and McPherson at the time.

yeah, I wanted Orton too. Being from Indiana I got to see Orton play a lot. The kid is good.... right now he's better than anything we have.
