Change of mindset

All. I first want to say that I am sure I have been just as disappointed with this team this year as anyone else in the fan group. I have literally felt pain watching the steady fall of this team to the cellar of the NFL standings.

However,

I feel we need to stop bashing this team and rally behind them. They need us more now than when they are winning so we need to do our part and support them. Do I feel slighted and cheated, yes. I also know what it is like to let someone else down and it sucks, but I would be pissed if a long time friend considered me worthless if I was having a hard time for a couple of months.

I realize everyone feels disappointment, but we should do right by our team and support. I know everyone on here cares, otherwise they would not be reading this so lets cut them a little slack and support them. If by supporting the best you can do is just stop venting, then so be it. If you screwed up at work, and your boss started bashing you on forums about your performance you would have a hard time being motivated to improve.

Not trying to harp, only trying to do my part and request we lay off of them a bit and try to be more supportive. If we are not careful, we may lose this team for good, and I don't care to root for Tampa nor Jacksonville.

Just my .02. and thanks in advance for supporting our team through the tough and easy times.

There are a lot of us that will root for the team despite the long list of problems with the Fins.
And there are others who are temporarily rooting for losses in order to get better in the long run.
Bottom line is that we are all fans.
Personally, I think the staff is put a fork in em done and the changes are already happening behind the scenes.
Might as well root to win(even though they are incapable), the players are already in off season mode and playing out the string IMHO
Ross will not move the team. This 2011 product sucks and Ross knows that winning changes everything.

Agreed. I am not a big fan of hoping for losses though, but I understand those who want the best shot at getting the next Marino. Just don't want to discourage the young players and dishonor our team any more with our negative attitude. Thanks though for offering your view.

the most dramatic change of mindset would happen only if we were to draft our franchise QB. We all support the team, if we didnt we wouldnt be as emotionally attached. its tough wanting to root for the team to win when a 5-7 win season would do nothing but keep us where we are now..stuck in mediocrity.

I understand this as well. I too was very negative about this year and the last 10 years, but I also realized that I am not helping by being negative either. Hopefully we make some changes in the future that result in the team we all wish it to be.
