``Our defensive playbook is like a phone book, and we didn't get through the A's,'' rookie linebacker Channing Crowder said. ``We have a lot things we can pull out if we need to, or we can let our great players make plays. That's what we did Sunday -- we stayed conservative and let great players make plays.''

That first line is classic.

If that was conservative, I can't wait to see the rest.

Actually it was very conservative, we just beat them up. COUNT ON A GAMEPLAN, against the Jets...

I love the way this guy is playing, in his first nfl game he looked like he was a vet out there. I am sure the coaches can find some but for a novice like me i didnt see very many mistakes out of him and he played hard with a great motor. He might be the best 3rd rounder in the league this year!!!

that was one big thing i took from the game, being there i didnt really have the opportunity to analyze it, but it seemed like we didnt bring much heat, just sat back in our zones, and let our front 7 beat the heck out of them...i cant wait to see sabans bag of tricks open up

ya... I could be wrong (I got sh!tfaced during the game  )... but it didnt seem like we blitzed alot... or atleast not near as much as I expected...

Nasty

You know, this was an admission that the Dolphins' old defense has always had Denver's number, and they wanted to emulate kind of how we use to play defense against them mixed with the new style.

Think about it, our old defense was all about discipline and letting your greatest players make plays. Set JT up to sack the QB constantly, set Zach up to make all the tackles, etc.

Did you see Crowder flying over the line on that goal line stand? He is going to be something special, and I'm happy he's on our side... I'm a Canes fan, but I'll have that Gator on my team any day!

Our new schemes will begin to show this Sunday against the Jets. One things for sure Saban is going to hit their tackles like a truck. They struggled MIGHTILY...

is it just me or does anyone else get giddy when reading this.

Also who knows if we are going to see scheming against the Jets. Denver is a pretty potent offense. Much better than the Jets at this moment IMO.

I can't wait to see some of the more complex stuff.

i'll have to admit i was uneasy with him starting so early in his career, though i do believe if he stays healthy he will be a beast in this league... i am glad to say all those worries were laid to rest sunday

I hear ya, brudda. It's obvious he wasn't a Spurrier guy.

He said we didnt get through the A's ... It doesn't get better than that.
