PFW has a free-agent scouting report on Crowder. It doesn't say anything we don't know, but at least the perception of a non-local media coincides with ours.

I know Crowder is not happy about the Phins offer, but to have Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, and Johnathan Vilma available in the market doesn't help him.

crowder will get payed, there is so many teams that need linebacker help.. Lets find out what the patriots offer him =/

i must agree that, with lewis, scott and vilma out there... possibly brooking soon, channing crowder has no leverage whatsoever on the dolphins... you also have to consider the draft that offers a lot of options for teams seeking ILB help: laurinaitis, maualuga, nic harris(who IMO will be drafted by the bears or buccs to learn that tampa 2 ILB role) and darry beckwith ....

If Crowder thinks he is going to get better money in the open market, he's in for a rude awakening.

better money than what is the question that nobody seems to answer. What does he want and what is he being offered. If he was offered the same money as Bell Im sure he can do better as a free agent.

That is pretty much exactly what I thibnk about him. Very good report.

they mentioned everything i have for hte past 6 months. good to see not evreyone is blind sided by the 115 tackles or whatever.

I think there is a good chance of resigning Crowder, at least a 50/50.
However, Bell is the real concern here.
Hate to even think about the Patriots acquiring either one.

I love Crowder as a person and wish him the best. I don't want him as a highly paid Dolphin player.

However, I don't have any doubt that he gets his payday. The market is huge for ILB's and the draft has a few elite prospects but almost no depth.

KC and GB are switching to the 3-4 and I wouldn't be surprised if AZ didn't tweak their Hybrid more towards the 3-4. These teams need more LB's.

There were a lot of good offensive teams like Denver last year that could have used a solid LB to shore up there defense.

If Crowder thinks he is going to get better money in the open market, he's in for a rude awakening.

I don't know if the money would be as high as he would like, but I'm willing to bet a team like New England would just LOVE to get their hands on Channing. Crowder may not be elite, but playing next to Mayo in that NE defense while spiting the Dolphins (for not giving him his "true" value) might be very tempting to him.
