Channing Crowder on 560

Well Crowder was not the only one on the team who's mouth wrote checks his behind could not cover...Seems Dansby likes to talk alot too with nothing to back it up and none of the announcers will let our CB's forget how they are the "Best tandem in football".
 
Woa! Calm down! I didn´t say he has no intellect. I even said that I´m ok with him being a talking gas bag on the radio. I just think he is not a NFL player. I you think Sparano thinks he is better than anyone he has on the roster right now and doesn´t sign him we are worst than I thought...

Lesson learned there keep one's mouth shut at least until you make a series of PBs
 
Crowder was made for talk radio . . . Channing is smart, why go out there and bust your azz for whatever lowball salary he was gonna get when you can go on radio, build your buzz and end up being great at it withou the trouble.

All I hear is "Crowder doesn't make impact plays" . . . well you know what, I don't see much going on with our "new" guys and the defense seems more disorganized than ever. One thing Channing always did was keep his troops in order. One of the smartest football players out there, his knees just aren't good enough to be the impact player he could have been. He definitely has the instincts . . . and although Dansby/Burnett have more physical ability in coverage . . . neither one can tackle, stuff the run or lead on the field like Crowder can. This defense misses him whether people wanna admit that or not.

Burnett said "If your OK with losing, you're a loser" . . . wowwwwww real science there.

Exactly. We were better with him. Sparano and Ireland will be gone next year. Hopefully, he will be interested in resigning at that point. Maybe we find someone better, but it was stupid of them to cut him when we was better than everyone else other than Burnett and Dansby.

Now he's just pissed. And yes, he's good at radio. Because he is SMART. What our defense is missing.
 
I love how Channing states obvious and instantly becomes a brain surgeon.

I was listening this morning, he really has some excellent insight. Obviously, he does not like Ireland. He also is not a big fan of Henne, but he really is telling it like it is.

Kinda wish they didn't cut him now that Dansby is injured. He said on the radio that there is no chance of him coming back this season. The Vikings contacted him and said, we will call you in March 2012. He was already contacted by a bunch of other teams.

Maybe he comes back after Sparano and Ireland are fired midseason!!!

yeah this is great! great insight. its his opinion! he got cut now he is a fan favorite! lol too funny. you people down there in s. florida are nuts.

They said he made 5 million, which was alot, I thought it was only 2.5 and he is in his last year of the contract . . . I couldn't understand not sticking with the guy, and then throwing our hat into one of the deepest middle linebacker draft classes next year. I'm sure Channing would have resigned at a hometown discount . . . have him teach the rook and get your future at the position in order. I dunno, the defense just looked better when he was in the game. Miami should have concentrated on getting a FA Free safety, Keeping Crowder and having Edds man the nickel LB spot.

I have always liked Channing, hell look at my avatar :lol: . I get plenty of grief for it also. Met the guy a few times just out and about . . . real down to earth guy. There was no secret his knees were going, and we needed to upgrade the position and maybe Burnett is that guy . . . but him not in this defense is a big reason why this defense is struggling and the adjustment period is making alot of guys look bad. This regime has cut a few lockerroom guys in Crowder, Will Allen, Sapp . . . they bring back Will Allen . . . but Sparano and Ireland aren't making many friends in the lockerroom, I guarantee that.

I can't explain it but the D did seem to always play better with crowder. They said he would be missed in the locker room when he was cut, I bet he was one of the few guys in there that really had Sparanos back.
 
Clarification... Does Channing Crowder dislike Henne as a footballer or dislike his personality or option (c) all of the above?
I can see that their personalities are total opposites. Crowder is extraverted, funny, into practical joking, etc while Henne is appears very serious.

Bingo.. You nailed some of it.
Crowder was trained by Zach Thomas to interpret the offense and make the corrective moves. Lots of the people on here just looked at his tackle count, zero sack count and arthritic knees but one of his biggest strengths was his high football IQ interpreting the play. That is why the defense seemed to play better with him.
Who knows? Maybe Burnett will make progress...
