That said, Crowder, has been for all accounts worthless so far. Understandably it is tough to see someone take over Zach's spot after all these years, but still, trying to be as fair as possible I don't see Crowder too long for this team after this year. For all he tries to do in being a leader via his mouth and jumping around, when it comes down to actual play, he really just doesn't have it. He's a good weak side guy, but I don't see him accepting that position and $$. As for being the "main man", he simply makes bad decisions and overreacts. I've seen him countless times dive into the wrong gap with reckless abandon. Zach may have missed the correct gap once and a while, but he never took himself way out of the play.
It's unfortunate, because I like Crowder's spirit and intentions, he just doesn't have "it"
Not sure why you think he's second or third on plays. Channing is leading the team in tackles with 18 (6th in the league) and in solo tackles with 15 (4th in the league). Considering teams are passing so much he gets in on a good majority of the run plays. Which yesterday we did pretty well against. The Cards ran for 81 yards on 31 carries, which comes out to 2.6 yards per carry. Crowder can hardly be blamed for our corners and safeties getting beat all day.second or third on plays, following the plays and being involved after-the-fact....and -oh yes...being beat in coverage and very slow to get there.
middle linebackers should, and will lead their team in tackles. If a CB, S, or DE is...you have a serious problem (yes, even more serious than we already have). Crowder's tackle totals do nothing to show the reality of his play. Not sure why you think he's second or third on plays. He's been our best tackler so far and is toward the top of the league in that category. His coverage skills may not be great but neither were Zachs'. Don't get me wrong. I don't think he's even close to being the player Zach was for us but he's been solid. I know it's going to be hard for people to judge anyone we have at ILB because naturally people are going to compare him to Zach, but Crowder has not been a bust are even a bad player.Disclaimer: I'm not one here to flame players because I'm PO'd we lost.

I just don't see how he's been that terrible. I guess I'll see it when I rewatch the game but I just haven't noticed him being "worthless". If I had 100 darts in my hand and just started whipping them at the dart board with reckless abandon, I bet I'd have a few bullseyes. If you take all the darts off the board except for the bullseyes, and say, there are 8 of them, are you going to run around to all the dart leagues telling people how I hit 8 bullseyes?I just don't see how he's been that terrible. way to try and derail the thread but yes, just like your age making you naive to the football play, it also makes you naive to how bars work. Most bars have a weekly dart league....There's dart leagues?
Was a joke buddy, lighten up. I said earlier I didn't have the same opinion you do because I just didn't see that watching the game yesterday. I said I'm going to rewatch the game and perhaps I'll see what you're seeing. As for my age. I turn 21 in a couple days so I'll be able to join those dart leagues soon enough. :up:way to try and derail the thread but yes, just like your age making you naive to the football play, it also makes you naive to how bars work.
