He played a lot better today even though he was wearing a jersey that said TORBOR on the back of it and made considerably less money doing it.

I kinda like this new Channing. Make less money, talk a lot less, and play a little better. Maybe we could just start having him wear the Torbor jersey every game..............:oops:

Oh wait. My bad. That wasnt him. We actually have a player who makes less money, does less yapping, and plays at least as well if not better than Crowder does whos name is Torbor. Sorry bout the confusion. Continue bashing Rex Ryan.
 
basically crowder....didn't do to hot in the pass D and and bit on some counter plays and missed a few tackles up the middle....he was solid though, I wouldn't say better then crowder...


edit-these guys would be way better if we had a fast hard hitting guy like Willis or Beason who can go sideline to sideline, blitz and cover...they are solid players but not amazing
 
if the coaching staff has any brains what so ever they will certainly keep torbor in there. That guy was lights out.
 
Chandra Chowder needs to find a new home next season....he is one of our problems on "D" Big mouth, mediocre performance... Shut your Pie Hole Chowder Boy!!!
 
I thought he played well. I saw too many runs up the middle for good gains against our D though, not sure if they were his fault or not.

I wouldnt go as far as to say he was lights out. In all reality I thought Torbor did a DECENT job today. But, my point remains, Channing doing a decent job would generally be better than normal.

So why the hell is he getting paid all that money when we couldve just signed someone to backup Torbor for A LOT LESS?

Oh wait, I know.....Crowder's stand up routine in the locker room and on the tv cameras during the week leading up to actually playing the game on the field on Sunday is why he makes the big bucks..right?
 
Weren't some fans saying that we couldn't stop the run with Crowder out? Ala the Chiefs game last year? Yea you know who you are. Face it. Torbor is every bit as good as Crowder if not better without the drama of a teenage beauty queen. And Torbor is actually very consistent, unlike Crowder who has a good game then disappears for 3-4 games.

As far as Im concerned, Channing can take a hike and take Peezy with him. I wouldnt miss them at all. Like another poster pointed out in a different thread(ChambersWI I believe, but not certain) our best lineup on defense today had Torbor and Roth in it with Porter and Crowder on the bench.

Well actually he just mentioned what our best defensive lineup was today and I was the person who actually pointed out it was absent of those two big game talkers.

Im telling ya, those two guys should play for the Jets. They would fit right in. Overpaid, yapping clowns. Thats all they are.
 
Torbor had a pretty good game, today... but I'm not too excited about it. I still think our entire LB core is weak, and probably needs to be totally turned over.

I totally agree, I expect 2 LBs picked in the top three picks next year. Porter and Taylor just are not getting any pressure ... like at all. The biggest weakness on the team IMO. WR is close but I really like Hartline. The pats won't make the same mistake as the jets, they will not even bother trying to run the football thats a waste of time.

Because Torbor wasn't exposed as he usually he is. He gets eaten up by blockers and takes an hour to read the play. They had Ayodele shoot the gap and Torbor to basically only cover the weakside/backside the entire game if Jones or Greene reversed direction. Torbor's decent and all, but Crowder is the #1 reason why we were the #1 rushing defense for a while.

Really? I thought that was Jason Ferguson, Randy Starks, and Kendall Langford mostly.
