So clearly you don't know how to use quotes but that's beside the point. Dierdorf never said that. Here's the transcript from the play:
Gumble: To the air again, far sideline. This one is caught, Randy Moss, for the touchdown. There's a penalty marker down and it's going to be against the Miami Dolphins.
Ref: Pass interference, number 21, defense. That penalty is declined. (Ref shuts mic off because loud mouth Porter is in his ear)
Dierdorf: Andre Goodman locked up one on one with Randy Moss. He's playing the ball the whole way, crowd reacting (crowd boos because they're dumb). What you couldn't see was his left arm going back prior to what we just saw right there, Goodman's left arm was going back to restrict Moss from going by, right there - he pulls it back in that's what the official saw. Yeah, Randy's on his back but that's because Goodman is right there. If it wouldn't have been for throwing that arm back, Goodman wouldn't have been flagged. The reality is Moss caught it for a touchdown anyway. (pause as the crowd ******* because they're clueless) Crowd wants an offensive interference but no way was that offensive interference on Randy Moss.
Gumble: Meanwhile, that's 3 touchdown catches for Randy Moss today.
Dierdorf: Randy Moss is running to the football. If Andre Goodman wants to be on his hip and in his way that's one thing. That's a heck of a play by number 81.
Gumble: The extra point is good and with 8:52 in the 4th quarter to play the New England Patriots re-establish a 10 point lead, 38-28 Pats.
Then after the muffed kickoff by your Pro Bowl top 10 pick Ted Ginn Jr, this was said during highlights of Moss ****ting all over the Dolphins today:
Dierdorf: I know there is contact there, Moss has his arm on the back of Goodman but he doesn't shove him, he doesn't gain anything by that contact and I think that's the key on why it was defensive interference and not offensive interference. If he had his arm or his hand on Goodman's back and shoved him to separate, that would've drawn a flag on that.
So...not sure what you're talking about with Dierdorf being embarassed or saying things about Goodman going flying (which he didn't - just watch the play again. I'm sure you recorded it because you thought you were gonna win). In fact, Moss is the one who hit the ground after catching it. So I mean really, you can ***** all you want - the fact is Moss just caught it all over him. There was contact on both sides so if anything it should've been a no-call, but either way he caught the ball.
And right when they came back, Meriweather picked off Chad and Camarillo got hurt. Lovely part of the game to go back and watch many times if you choose to.
