Chargers-Dolphins blacked out

I live in san diego and I'm going on Sunday. I went two years ago as well and that's the game pennington went down and henne came in... I was suprised to see so many fin fans..

I was there too. Half the stadium was Dolphins fans.

I am not surprised. Qualcomm is a garbage stadium. It makes Sun Life look like the Taj Mahal.

San Diego is so beautiful and nice this time a year that I would rather not travel to that garbage dump to watch an 0-3 team either.

I don't feel like getting into this argument again. You know my stance, and people choose to pull wool over their eyes.

With that said, the Chargers game was blacked out with 6,500 unsold tickets. The Dolphins/Texans game was not blacked out, yet Ross and the local tv station had to buy over 10,000 unsold tickets. You tell me which is worse.

No wool over these eyes. I didn't compare the two either. A blackout is a blackout, but our owner and local stations care about our fans.

Qualcomm is one of the largest stadiums in the NFL (I think... top 10 at least I am 90% sure). Disposable income is not what it used to be in the recession, and SD cost of living i high to begin with, plenty of obstructed view seats that must be sold to people who won't get to see the game, and the team has zero history of championships. Anytime you want to bash a fan base, look at there history... the one constant i see is that the teams that sell out either A. look elite now B. have a history of winning it all. Loyal fan bases are won, not given.

Here's an idea to attract fans that Ross can consider, from a Madrid soccer team (let's 'beat' those blackouts lol) ... as quoted by newsoftheweird.com ... " "

[FONT=VERDANA, HELVETICA]Madrid's Getafe soccer club, struggling for customers, startled Spain this summer by commissioning a porn movie, with zombies, hoping to attract more fans. As if that were not quixotic enough, it then tied the movie to a campaign to solicit sperm-bank donations. Explained the film's producer, Angel Torres, "We have to move a mass of fans to seed the world with Getafe supporters." A promo for the film follows a Getafe fan, armed with a copy of the movie for his viewing pleasure, as he disappears into a clinic's private cubicle to fulfill his donation. Sunlife is bigger. And take a pill Dolphin fans are nobody to be calling out others on their local fan base support.

Lol at the people who were blaming miami fans....the team sucks Soooo bad even fans of other teams don't want to go watch them

The Dolphins are so awful and boring even their road games are blacked out.

Didn't Stephen Ross have to buy 10,000 tickets for the last home game to prevent it from being a black out? lol

Him, CBS4, and Busch did...

I don't see him wasting more money on the next home game.

Apathy has set in and people aren't going to WASTE their $$$ on the dolphins.

Well we are going to the game from Arizona and California. 11 Dolphin fans to invade their space! Can't wait! Hopefully they can surprise us and pull out a win. We went to the last game in SD to the disaster of Pennington going down and the start of the Henne era. It was not a good outcome.

Go Phins!

Have a great time and bring back a victory.

Raiders Black Hole was the poster child for Black Outs ... now they're selling out early in the week.

Winning Rx cures everything, especially with excitement & drama ... they're even hyped up to beat NE this weekend!!

Coach says ... We don't just want to win, we want to be bullies!!
