im 37. that was by far the toughest dolphins loss ive experienced in my lifetime. keith jackson with 1 of the dumbest plays youll ever see. as it turns out that was marino's last legit shot to get back to a super bowl.

Also 37 and the Jags game was tougher for me but I do still recall Stan Humphries beating us in '94...definitely a tough one.

If any Miami fan watched that 62-7 beating then no other game is worse.

There is a story around here that I don't know if is true, but our local morning radio guy (Tommy, fins fan) supposedly went on some massive bender after that game and went MIA the next week.

Me? I lived in a house full of hippies at the time, so life pretty much went on as usual there...

I literally busted my TV at the end of this game. True Story! Was a horrible skanky sad day for Dan Marino and even Jimmy Johnson.
Sprinklers going off during the game, wtf! This thread made me depressed ugh.

If we beat the chargers in '94, I think we would have been totally embarrassed in the Superbowl.

Well, I'm 43 and agree. That was the hardest one because they looked dominant early, SD couldn't stop Jackson and then the wheels came off. Miami knee-jerked in the offseason and signed Eric Green to the highest TE contract ever and, well, that just failed...

This is the game your talking about. From the 1995 postseason. I remember it well.

The only time I've cried as a Dolphins fan. Stoyanovich with the missed FG at the end of regulation.

I was 12 at the time and I don't remember crying after a game like I did this one. Awful feeling

Top 3 for me. Probably at #3. #2 week 17 against the pats in 2002. The 11 point lead lost. #1 is the jags debacle that started our downward spiral.

I slammed my bedroom door and stayed up there for God knows how long. I was super pissed then sad.

That NE game I was so mad. I swore they missed that fg at the end. That team had the closest chance to do damage in the playoffs and shot at SB.

The '94 game was a devastating loss. Everyone talks about the missed FG but let's not forget 2 terrible calls that would put us in that situation. First half, Natron Means steps about 10 feet OOB on a TD run - refs miss call. Worse - 4th and goal from the 2 chargers. Means takes handoff and gets bottled up for a loss - fumbles the ball and it rolls forward, hits the pylon and goes OOB. Since you can't fumble forward on 4h down, ball should have been miami's at the 2 or worst case a touchback. Instead, inexplicably ball is spotted at the inch line - next play - Parmalee decked for a safety. That play changed the game majorly.

The Jax game was embarrassing, but not gut wrenching like the SD loss.

Getting shellacked from start to finish stings alot less than a 1 point loss. ALOT less.
