Charles Harris Has Two Career Sacks, But He Says He Is Improving ‘exponentially’

The Dolphins’ defensive line was a terror Sunday against the Jets, totaling 21 tackles — including nine for loss.

In short, it was the vision the Dolphins had for the group when the front office assembled it in the spring.

With one notable exception: Charles Harris was again largely quiet. The second-year defensive end still has not had the breakout game the Dolphins have believed is coming since they took him in the first round of the 2017 draft.

A sack (wiped out by penalty) is not really a quiet game. If you get a sack every other game it's an 8 sack season. Which is about where I think he will end up in year 2 (more if he gets more snaps).

That'd be a huge leap after a meh rookie year. Tannehill had more tackles(1) than he did on Sunday....his stat line was 0-0-0-0

He’s gonna have to develop more than a bull rush and spin move.

Both of which are ineffective at the moment.

His main job is to rush the passer. He's probably playing a third of the defensive snaps (or less) and has to beat Wake, Quinn or Branch to the QB when he's out there.
