Can anyone comment on his arm strength has looked in training camp. Last year it was improved over the last years with the SSTs in NY. If it has continued to improve this would be huge. The only thing holding Chad back from elite status has been his arm strength and if he can get better in that area, watch out.(I know it is not something to expect from a 33yr. old player, but one can always dream.)
Part of the program utilizes Petrone's own invention -- the SpeedBand, which hones Pennington's ability to utilize a quick burst on his feet that can keep a play alive.

"Instead of using these bands laterally, we use them linearly," Pennington said. "We've used them extensively to improve my leg speed, which for me, my whole world as a quarterback lies within a zero to 10 yard radius. For me to escape for three to five yards or get out of the pocket and make a throw, that's the world I live in. These bands have been able to really help me with my bursts, escape quickly, then make a decision to throw downfield.

Great article, however I do wish he was a little more technique specific in the article. I being a 5-11 285 lb unemployed non-athlete have often thought I could use a little of that "burst" from my cpu chair to the fridge for milk and another handfull or Oreos so as to not miss any of whatever TV show I am watching at the time, before the comercials are over.

The way I see it this is kinda my training camp as well. I have to take care of my "lack of burst" problem before camp breaks or be in serious danger of missing plays during the season. Imagine my despare to having returned to the living room with a fist full of Oreos (my favorite health food) and hearing Pat White had just made two LBs and a DT miss in the backfield and scrambled 30 yards for a game winning TD. While all I get to do is watch the replay. Such a situation could be a life changing event. One that could make me change my whole health plan......not likely, but possible.

Is sounds like you have gotten impressive results with your tough regimen do you have a workout video I can buy so I too can run at top speed from lazy boy to pantry and fridge with a fist full of Oreos in under 3 min (average commercial break time span)? :hi5:
