I think the phins should give him a workout, and if he is still in shape, they should take a chance on him. His problem was he was unmotivated, and if there is anyone who can motivate someone its Saban. If he could turn into #2 overall pick talent like he should be, think of him and Chambers opposite of each other. That would be a solid wideout crew for years to come. I just doing think Marty Booker is gonna do it for us. But i could be wrong, just want to give him a chance.

I have no problem giving Charles Rogers a look.....but I highly doubt that if he even made the team, that he would challenge for any spot higher than the #4 receiver, unless someone above him gets hurt.

Rogers is a lush, and can't put the bottle down. On top of that, he's an arrogant / egotistical player who thinks he's better than he actually is. The only things he's proven thus far in his career, that he does with anykind of consistancy, is show up for happy hour at the local watering hole. He's a loser, and I don't want anyting to do with him. Neither should Saban.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I have to disagree with you. Rogers' problem was not motivation, it was injuries. He couldn't stay healthy, or sober, long enough to show anything.

I have no prob with Rogers getting a look. Seems like the kind of project Saban loves and has good upside. But I don't see him getting a roster spot unless Booker's injury worsens.

Chris Mortensen (on his weekly 790 the ticket appearance) said that Charles Rogers' recent workout for the Bucs was just horrible, both in terms of performance and attitude. So whilst it certainly makes sense to bring him in for a workout, unless Rogers has a "what the hell am I doing" moment i'm doubting he gets signed.

What would be a more likely scenario is if Rogers is still unsigned come the end of the season, and we add him then, either to send to NFL Europe or just as a prospect for camp. Hopefully after a season out of the NFL, Rogers might have a new perspective on his future.

Let him rot in the unemployment line for a year, then see if he might get a little more motivated. THEN give him a workout.

where do you see me saying i want him? i just wanted to know if he was picked up or not. id like to know if jamie sharper or peter boulware were picked up as well, but i dont want them over what we have. id just like to keep track of them since they are names that have talent attached to them

I live in Detroit and my friend knows a punter who tried out for the Lions. He said Rogers showed up to practice intoxicated everyday. That's why he was cut. He didn't try at all. From what i've heard i assume he won't play in the NFL this year, at least i highly doubt it. He sounds like someone who got the big money and just doesn't care about anyone but himself.
